A Gowers, Cordy, Suckling half forward line is an interesting one. Gowers the only one I'd consider a natural forward, though Suckling has a great boot and served us well there last week. I expect Cordy to be around the ground.

cordy will play back, no way he starts forward when Gold Coast have king and day up forward

Can it not suck for both reasons?
Naturally as a supporter it's very easy to put the team first, but in a situation like this, morally I think we should be focusing most of our attention to being sympathetic towards the individual.

I probably shouldn't have called you selfish. I know your a man of good character and should have given you the benefit of the doubt.

Gowers isn’t a natural forward.
We made him into one in 2018. Still pretty unpolished but can be effective on a good day.

Can't accept that Gowers is a better option than McLean. McLean hasn't been great but he's got a lot more ability and versatility than Gowers. Gower's has no form to warrant selection. Also, has Tory Dickson been pensioned off?

We're going in very short in the forward half. Dale was playing a pseudo tall last game, with him out it needs to be Gowers if we want to keep the same structure. Not defending Billy but McLean was never in contention for that spot.

I remember a couple of years ago we were playing Gowers as our CHF. It did not end well at all.

He had one good game against Richmond playing a defensive job on Grimes. But I doubt that I'd even remember it if Naughton hadn't taken 9 contested marks that game and I don't think Bruce is going to do that this week.
