I have a sneaky suspicion Barrass is playing through an injury or is very sore. If gov gets up, id be tempted to rest him and play schofield this week. Tigers aren't overly tall and Jack Riewoldt is the type of forward schofield is made to play on.
Id play shep on the woldt. Schoey plays too loose and tigers are a precise passing team in forward half and cant rely on too many long bombs to make up ground

Certainly is.

Another running option with a deadly left boot.

He’ll be straight back in. Make no mistake.
I have no doubt he will be, I just don't know if he should be.

He's a clearance machine but he has been fumbly as hell, playing games with high possession counts and little impact (except his goals of course).

I think he's only a classy left footer in space, has been guilty of a lot of around the corner kicks that are turned over.

Refuses to tackle.

Out: McInnes Schofield Ainsworth Nelson
In: Natanui McGovern Sheed Jetta

Sheppard Barrass Hurn
Duggan McGovern Jetta
Gaff Sheed Masten
Cripps Darling AhChee
LeCras Kennedy Rioli

Ruck: Natanui Yeo Redden
Int: Waterman Hutchings Cole Lycett

Who would he come in for you think?
A better option for this game than Ainsworth imo. I’d love to see his pace against Richmond.

Agree.

But with Sheed and Jetta available it may be tough to squeeze him in....then Shuey

Great spot to be in, competition for spots is what will bring us ultimate success I feel. :D

A lot will depend on if Richmond lose today, we can be a bit more ‘creative’. I dont want to bring Sheed back unless he is 1000% fit in every way. I really want to beat Richmond but its not like its life or death, especially if Norf can beat them today. If Petrucelle is fully fit and Sheed could use another weeks rest then that could be an option, and leave Ainsworth in too.

Excuse me for butting in, But not life and death ? It is more than that ! I'm going to my first game at Optus with a mate who I catch up with rarely these days, he is a 35 year long suffering member of Richmond. Who is an absolute champion at taking the piss out of us. He hates Eagles with a passion ! He is or was an East Perth member as well, absolutely gutted that they are aligned with us, ( I don't like it either, but doesn't stop me giving him shit about it ) He has been insufferable since they were gifted :D the flag, I don't think I could bear it if we lost.

Too far Biggie Petch instead of Sheed ?

I just love Petrucelle and he instantly became by favourite new player, I really want to see him line up against Richmond. Mouth watering stuff.

He’s definitely been better but he’s just such a momentum killer.. he looks so slow against good sides that bring the heat, and his skills break down accordingly. No flags while theres him ******* things up at critical times.. I’m not normally too critical on him because my expectations are low. He is the weakest link
If shedd is back drop masten keep sneeze

I hear ya, I’ve got 2 Richmond sisters who hadn’t gone to a game for 20 years and are now the biggest supporters that ever lived  They also think that any team outside of Victoria are nobodies.

You’ll be on my shitlist soon if you keep this up!

I’m just saying IF Richmond lose today it wouldn’t hurt to give Sheed another week to make sure he’s super ready for the second half of the season when we really need him. Imo Petch can do the job, or at least learn a lot trying. IF Sheed happens to go down again it would be good if Petch had a few hard games in him.
Either way Petrucelle (if fit) >>>>> Ainsworth for this one

Yep, fans certainly come out of the woodwork when there is success, but this guy has stuck fat even travelling to Melbourne every year to watch them . I suppose the prick deserves the success, but fcuked if I'm going to tell him. :p

The good news is that on form nobody from yesterday's game deserves to be dropped. Even better news is that one or all of Naitanui, McGovern, Sheed and Jetta will be ready to come back in for the Richmond game

Naitanui for McInnes is the no brainer after having an AFL sanctioned week off to freshen up

Schofield makes way for Gov, unlucky but thats just the way it is

I've liked what Nelson has been doing as a lockdown defender but he's the most likely to come out for Jetta as Cole and Duggan have been better. Jetta has to be 100%fit though otherwise he sits in the stands for another week

Assuming Sheed is also 100%, the decision of who makes way is more difficult. I don't like the idea of bringing a young player in for one game and then dropping him but I think Ainsworth is the one who makes way simply because Achee, Hutchings and Masten all provide more at this stage. He'd be very stiff as he had a solid debut but barring any unknown injuries he misses

In the longer term we also have Shuey, Ryan and Venables to fit back in to the 22. Nice problem to have

Was pretty much BOG against the Cats. Cant imagine Hutch/Ainsworth/Ah Chee having a game like that. He's straight back.

However, agree that his tackle numbers are too low though (<2 a game is nowhere near enough for the position he's been playing)

Frase will undoubtedly be dropped, but I really liked his game. He played his role and was great with his follow up efforts.

Couldn't really have asked him to do much more, he looked a lot better yesterday then he has previously so presumably this is due to his WAFL form. With Vardy injured, the door is certainly ajar for him

Am loathe to make too many changes to a winning team; Nic for Fmac is obvious. Schofield is out for Gov. Would only be bringing Sheed and Jetts in if they are 100% fit, with Ainsworth (solid debut) and Nelson (a bit unlucky, but toot toot I am on the Cole and Duggan trains at the moment) the ones to make way

Shuey I have a feeling we won't see before the bye

I thought Schofield was beaten on the day and I'm not seeing what some other people are with Nelson...I just don't rate his game.
I do agree with your post as a whole though.

Agree. It's a bit of a shame; I actually don't think that he's a terrible player (played an excellent WAFL grand final in the wet a couple years ago), and imo has always been solid when called upon, but he's a victim of being at a club with JJK, Darling, resting rucks, and now Waterman et al coming through.

He is a proper CHF - a bit Ash Hansen-esque in that respect - not an amazing player, but plays one of the most difficult positions on the ground pretty well. Could have played 50+ AFL games in another life IMO
