The problem is this isn't "a fit Sheed".

It's Sheed coming back from injury at Optus Stadium, which is creating issues for players as it is. Please learn to comprehend my posts before commenting. I'm simply questioning the notion that Sheed is an automatic inclusion coming back from injury on a hard surface when we have covered him well.

I'm unsure where I singled you out or referred to you in anyway.... my quote was about anyone questioning whether a fit Sheed was best 22.

I believe McGovern will come in even if under a cloud because of who he is and how often he plays hurt anyway. Jetta I'm assuming has made a full recovery after what must have been some very serious niggles.

Haha that's true, I would be the only person in this thread who has made such a statement (probably explained poorly originally)

Yeo and Dusty head to head Yeo will take personally.
Hutch to Cotchin.
Redden with who ever their litany of 3rd mids are,
Goldstein and Nankervis bashed it out today, Nankervis not beating an aging Goldy isnt a great sign for them

And when Nank rests, Scotty gets Grigg (if back) or Caddy or something

Interesting

Just hope Petruccelle is okay and comes into the side as well honestly believe
we need his speed at optus to win on sunday

I know you love your memes and stuff, but do you think we missed him the week after he was gone?

Hutchings put in one hell of a game that covered the loss very well :)

27 tocuhes (15 contested, 2nd highest on the field)
7 clearances (equal second on the field)
10 tackles (most on the field)
5 frees for (most on the field)
1 "clutchings" goal
23 pressure acts (3rd highest on field)

Don't let stats get in the way of a good lynching.

Out
Schofield McInnis ainsworth nelson

In mcgovern natanui sheed jetta

Just checked out the richmond board and **** me you would think they had won a 3peat the way they carry on .

Not even hawks had that level of bath water drinking .

They’ve been starved of success for so long, they’re just not sure how to handle it...

The Sheed v Hutchings argument seems a bit moot as both will likely play this week. Hutch is battling well keeping Shuey’s seat warm, looking forward to his job on Cotchin.

I know I missed Sheed’s fantastic kicking, we lacked a bit of class on Saturday when we had momentum.

Really ? Richmonds game it built on manic hard pressure that is why they give away so many free kicks .
We need composure with a fast moving kicking marking game . Switching and getting into space . Which is our game.

What we need is to win the contest then have a high kicking efficiency .

I think having jetta back is much more important than petracelle.

When Sheed plays does he play a tagging role like Hutch? I didn't think so but I stand to be corrected.
No need to gloat after saying your piece. Its a difference in opinion, that’s all.no need to belittle the opposition.

That aside, moving on to the topic- if you want to sacrifice a player just to bring hutch in for tagging alone, then that’s one approach, I wouldn’t as we currently have players who do way better than hutch overall, the only upside to hutch is his tagging and work ethic, but poor in every other aspect compared to His competition. The reason I mentioned Sheed is because only two of Sheed redden hutch work, not all three.

Would like to see Martin try and fend him off then get destroyed
Get destroyed gently, within the proper boundaries of duty of care.

Which is found by taking into account not only momentum and comparative body weight, but also subtracting the additional force of a Dustin Martin fend off.

After a bit of a recon into enemy territory, the vast majority of the Tiggy army seem to be giving us absolutely no respect for next week. They act like their team is in a completely different dimension to the rest of the AFL. Nothing would please me more than a 40 point romp at home next Sunday.

Side note: Squiggle now has us making the Granny on the back top 2 and home wins over Geelong and Port before getting shrekt in the GF by Richmond 82-44 :/

NN is the obvious in, as is Gov if fit. So there will be two out even if it is unfortunate for McInnes & Schofield.

I’m not sure Sheed will be ready this week. Just a feeling I got listening to the injury report last week.

Nelson over Jetta may also be another move. We will want to move the ball quickly so that goes in his favour. Though I trust Nelson more defensively against the very dangerous small that the tigers have.

1v2. Going to be a massive buildup- but I do hope we watched how successful Norths pressure was on limiting the tigers today. It’s something we do very very well.

Don’t listen to all this “Martin was tagged so Richmond didn’t play that well” nonsense. Martin isn’t exactly busting his gut to work right now- but like all the great players, when the game is on the line- he just does what is needed.

Ideal scenario to start the game. Ball bounced, Martin collects, tries to fend off NN, NN puts him on the floor. Imagine that roar of the crowd if that were to happen.

Nank is an average tap ruckman (as he's slightly undersized), and gets beaten in that regards most weeks. But his strength is in the other stuff he does, very mobile and tackles well, goldy beat him in the ruck but nankervis was much more influential in all other aspects which is his strength. 18 possies, 6 marks and 7 tackles are good numbers!

If this were a Saturday night game I would be expecting a record crowd, too.

Sunday though? 48-50K would be the pass mark I reckon.
The AFL should have scheduled this game as a Friday night game!

wasnt gloating as you put it - it was a genuine question as I wasn't sure lol. You having a hard day or something;)

Lets hope the Richmond players and staff feel the same way.

I remember when the Neil Craig's unbeatable 'crowbots' came up against an undermanned WC and no one gave us a chance. Heres to hoping it has the same result.

I reckon you’ll find the majority of Richmond supporters will be expecting to lose this week. I don’t think it would be a bad thing either. Keeps us grounded and losing away trips to Adelaide and Perth is no real issue.

Shows how far Yeo has come that we pretty much expect him to beat/break even against guys like Fyfe/Martin & Dangerfield.

Such a valuable player, there's not another ''Yeo type'' in the league.
