Myself and the family are flying over on Saturday and staying for both games. It looks like the allocated seating at Bunbury is limited to 750 (not sure who gets access to this seating), so whats the rest of the seating like, it looks like we're sitting on a hill. Does anyone know what the seating arrangements are for the game in Bunbury?

You could only buy seating in the proper grandstand as part of a hospitality package, I think. Other than that, it's GA - but I believe there will be temporary grandstands around a large section of the ground.

Thanks, it looks like the temporary grandstands are first come first serve basis.

I'd like to see Phillips, Harvey, Ford, and Teakle rewarded for VFL form.

Could argue all day over who could/should go out.
But, Teakle been hitting the scoreboard and can ruck....Does Darling need another weeks rest, or Finnbarr go back and keep practicing his goal kicking?
Konstanty, I think has been a good but "limited" addition. For his own development could he go back to VFL and play as an inside mid/run with role.

Seems obvious last few weeks, Hardeman has been used more and more in transitioning out of defence....and offers much more defensively than both Caleb Daniel and Fisher.

I think you can probably make a case for all 4 to get a run of games. Especially as all are out of contract.

HOWEVER, I can't see Clarko doing it, certainly not in the same week.
Out of those 4, I'd be most keen to see Teakle and Harvey get a run.
Harvey come off the VFL kicking 5 goals, and Teakle because I think X needs some better support rucking.

That said, I said, If Ford or WillPhill got a run, I wouldn't be upset over it

If we asked ourselves which 5 players would you want West Coast to be missing this week I would say McGovern, Yeo, Waterman, Cripps and Owies would make up at least 4 of those spots.
McGovern was best on last time intercepting, Yeo was a bull, Waterman slaughtered us in the pre season game at the same venue, Cripps makes us his bitch every time we play and Owies as well from his time at Carlton. We're literally getting kissed on the dick with their outs.

I think we send Kostanty to do a defensive forward job on Duggan to stop any drive from half back.
Then Pink to Allen and just tell him to make sure he doesn't get near it.

Tim Kelly is due for a big game as well but f*** me if we cant put in a decent shift this week then when will we.

RECORDS AGAINST NORTH

McGovern - his highest disposal average
Yeo - Most scoring shots and 2nd highest goals scored (8 goals 8 behinds)
Waterman - Kicked 4.1 at the venue in March and was the difference
Cripps - Has kicked 7.5 in the last four meetings against us, including 3 straight in Hobart in the round 22 disaster
Owies - Has kicked 9.3 in 4 games, kicking 3.1 in both meetings last year. Has never gone goalless

Surely were on here

Battle for Bunbury

Bunbury will host a full day of footy excitement on Sunday 8 June as North Melbourne takes on the West Coast Eagles at Hands Memorial Oval, with the match kicking off at 1.20pm.

From 9am, Bicentennial Square in Bunbury’s city centre will come alive with the Battle for Bunbury—a free community event featuring food trucks, a coffee van, and live entertainment, including a performance by Codee Lee Down. The match will be broadcast live on the big screen at the Square.

Activities on the day include:

  • Meet and greet with West Coast AFLW players
  • Participation prizes from North Melbourne Football Club
  • Face painting in team colours
  • Temporary tattoo station
  • Kids’ maker station for noise rattlers and jersey decoration
  • Big Kick Contest
  • Wheelchair Football exhibition at Koolambidi Woola, presented by All Abilities Australia
  • WA Football Commission’s Find the Footy prize activation
Free shuttle buses will run to and from Hands Memorial Oval from Bunbury Bus Station before and after the game.

After the final siren, visitors are encouraged to continue the celebrations at venues across the city.

A gentle reminder that we gave up a four goal lead in time on of the last quarter to lose to this side in the most recent encounter.
We owe the campaigners

I’d say our worst loss for 2024. Inexcusable.

I’m gonna have to really grit my teeth through the next two weeks of footy. If we had to do this, we really should have held off until the four Hobart games were back at Marvel. I can live with the humiliation of playing two home games against West Coast and Freo in WA. I don’t accept playing these two in WA AND four in Hobart. I think our approximately 35k Victorian members are being treated very poorly.

It's two in WA and two in Hobart, not four.

A gentle reminder that two of the last three times we have played West Coast in WA, we have come from behind in the last quarter to win!
A gentle reminder that we lost a bloody sizeable lead in the most recent of those match-ups (and the reverse fixture, too) and had our blushes saved by a shocking htb decision

35k Victorian members well how many of those members attend games?
Yes we do get treated poorly but the members/supporters don’t help themselves by not attending.
If members/Supporters attended games we wouldn’t have to sell games interstate would we.
Just wait to next year.

Now that the VFL team has played, and both the AFL and VFL teams have a bye next week, we basically have all the info we're going to have in terms of team selection for our next game.

For my money;

OUT: Fisher, McKercher, Konstanty
IN: Phillips, Ford, Harvey

So... I know people will challenge me about dropping McKercher. He was very good two weeks ago, and had a good first half against the Pies. But... 13 total disposals and back to 0 tackles in almost 80% TOG unfortunately not up to expectations. We got absolutely smashed in the midfield in the second half, and both the structure and personnel need changes. But we're not exactly about to drop LDU or Powell or Parker (even though I wouldn't be tremendously upset with any of those) so unfortunately this is a little bit of McKercher drawing the short straw.

Last week he had 10 tackles which was awesome. The week before he had 0. Last night he had 0. It seems like that 10 tackle performance was the abnormality, unfortunately.

The way I'd set the structure/line up for the game;

View attachment 2325010

Interchange: Phillips/Powell/Daniel/McDonald
Sub: Harvey

McKercher was one of the best in the first half.

Just like Curtis and FOS.

Just like Curtis and FOS, barely touched it in the second half.

Curtis had 1 disposal after being close to best on at half time.

The reality is that a % of those numbers are massively inflated for birthday presents, babies, 1-3 game memberships.

So in reality we have well under 30k to draw on each week.
