Cooper is competing with Curtis / Camz and isn’t as good
Wilphi is competing with LDU , wardlaw , Parker , Powell - two of them have better versatility and the other two are better at in the middle
Cooper is competing against RHJ and should be playing instead.

If Corr is injured, Logue is next best KPD. Just the reality ATM unfortunately
100% think that Logue is actually our best KPD - if he was playing half decent football right now. However, he doesn’t seem to be. Either of the Dawsons would guarantee more effort right now, unfortunately.

Bit surprised. Fisher, RHJ (even with 2 coaches votes) and not Harvey sub.
Are they worried about Eagles outside run? RHJ will be chasing all day. Not sure Coop would be up for that.
Hope Coop plays against Freo.

Hopefully, the return of Logue and RHJ is not based solely on the fact that the game(s) are in WA. That’s not a sustainable approach from any angle. Our players need to be ready. I can only assume both these guys were focussing on specific aspects of their game in the VFL, that isn’t obvious to us punters. I very much hope so. Otherwise, we’re rewarding mediocrity. Having said that, both these players help team balance - if they play half decent football.
It can only be interpreted that we have picked them to satisfy all in Bunbury. Logue and RHJ haven't made it on form.

It's a political decision, based on our commitment to WA for the next few years. Considering our chances to make the finals this year (zero), I don't mind it.

Yeah, but if they stink it up, it’s a bad look. 🤞They come good.

Harvey, WilPhil and Teakle have been good in the VFL while RHJ and Logue have been average at best.

There is no earning a spot in the team with good form in the 2nds. That is poor culture.
100 per cent it is. If we get knocked off, this will destroy the morale of our better players.

Love the all in Bunbury, almost spat out my conti roll.

We have the least team cohesion across any football league in the country.
I watched Simmo and Horse dissect the Dogs win over the giants earlier this year on 360

How they set up behind the ball, both when in possession and not in possession, as well as directly after a ball up - it was like watching a different sport.

We’re not capable of that but with the average to mediocre footballers on the list, not sure we’ll ever have the defensive structure and application needed to become a competitive football team.

Nail on the head.
We don’t reward effort yet we gift games to players based on potential alone.
I would’ve thought a bog-average defender who belted blokes off the ball in his day like Clarkson would’ve understood that you earn every cm of your stripes. But nah.

Watch Fly micd up on YT. He's such a good communicator. Things like pulling Houston up on his running pattern and pushing the intensity of the training. Might be unfair and I don't get to watch our training but it feels like a point of difference.

Its clear as day to the average punt these players have been selected for a holiday.

You think the selections were based on this? I find it hard to believe.

Hansen is playing Stephens role at vfl level, and can still play forward, so the sub role makes sense.

Logue for Corr is fine, W Dawson and K Dawson are not better options.

Cooper is competing with Curtis and Z, so unfortunate for him. JK plays a different role.

Phillips and Ford a bit hard done by, but if they are good enough, they will be in very soon. Both playing good footy with a good test against Werribee.
