It's more style of play a well. Wilkie is 191cm, ditto May, but they aren't mobile rebounders like Ginbey.

Ginbey has a massive leap on him but at this stage of his career, Darcy & Naughton would kill him in a wrestle.

I'm normally a fan of mature players who can play in more than one part of the ground being our sub, but I do recall Dolan doing quite well as a sub one game.

That game was a good example. All Dolan has to do as sub is come on late, his lack of physicality somewhat offset by everyone else being tired, and hit Darcy/Naughton lace out a couple of times.

Doesn’t need to worry about getting 10+ touches, just set up key moments. Which is what Garcia did really.

I probably would have liked us to use Dolan as sub a couple more times. Hynes potentially but Dolans foot skills might be better suited to what we need.

On the other hand, we’ve put Buku and VDM, two players with notoriously poor game sense with ball in hand, in that position, and both of them have come on in the last quarter and basically immediately turned the ball over/looked lost.

If they can get their defensive structures right (big if), Ginbey is easily mobile enough to handle Naughton. Dude is a star - would be the best non-key defender in the comp if he wasn’t forced to play on talls every game.

Force him to wrestle with Naughton and he could be in a bit of trouble. But give him the time and space to run and he easily gets his fist to high balls and punishes us on rebound. They definitely won’t play him on Darcy, he’d get monstered

Just wrapped to have unicorn number 2 finally debut.

Similar injury woes to unicorn 1 early on which led to a slow start but I think he'd be the player that flourishes at the higher level.

If he's half as good as unicorn number 1 I'd be thrilled.
