No one is spending a second on stopping Hind. He has played well against the bottom teams but failed like Essendon in all tests again this year.

How did you find Nick Hind's ability to find the ball in his previous 2 seasons as a St Kilda forward? He averaged less touches than Richards did in the same role. He and Richards are similar stories both recruited as HBFs who have been played out of position and now are being given an opportunity in their natural position again. HFF is a much harder position to read the ball compared to HBF and not every player can adapt and have the same impact.

I have no doubt Ed will be able to make it at AFL level as a HBF.

He was moved forward because he wasn't doing as well as the other running defenders. Richards has been tried at half back, wing and forward and struggled in all areas. I hope he can improve, but I would be very surprised if he's near the side around finals time.

It still meets the WA government's COVID requirements in terms of days spent in quarantine...He could have been met on arrival and escorted to the resort. I don't know, just putting it out there. West Coast will get a decent boost when teams are named. They'll rightfully start favourites (though not as much as their home ground advantage, we'd be favourites at a neutral venue).

Third hand, but with Martin I've heard that the club has some level of expectation that quaratine requirements to change before the game which will allow Martin to fly in and play without the 7 days. Not sure how confident they are of this happening.

Judging someones game on possession numbers is such a weird and outdated thing. There's nothing wrong with a player averaging 8-10 possessions per game. Possession totals don't tell you much about how much influence a player is having. I remember a few people were criticising the selection of Weightman earlier in the year due to his VFL possession numbers. Look how that turned out. Roarke has been great, probably in our top 15 players every week.
