Whatever the respective thoughts on the long-term viability of the eligible players amongst this lot, surely you pick at least 1 or 2 if only to maintain any semblance of threat for underperformance?

That game was the absolute best football that Sam Colquhoun is capable of. I know he's not a favourite of plenty of posters on here due to his style of play, but he couldn't have performed that style of play any better than he did against WWT. I'm not even necessarily saying I would've picked him this week, but if Sam Colquhoun at his absolute best doesn't get a gig in our side on the half back flank ahead of Cam O'Shea at his absolute worst, then why did we bother giving Sam Colquhoun a contract?

I have a feeling that O'Shea is being kept in to give him the opportunity to redeem himself. Could be a costly indulgence.

Also, Amon staying in suggests his front-running and failure to support teammates was part of his role last week.

Not melting but I am disappointed there has been no attempt to address our structural issues.

Amon, Neade, Oshea and Stewart are now thinking "man I don't even need to try and I'll still keep my spot, might as well continue to go at it half arsed because it doesn't make a difference" I'm expecting more of the same from these players this weekend

And with the schooling in the ruck we are gonna get you'd think at least an extra tall would do some good.
Continue the fantastic inside 50 numbers to no avail.
Continue bombing and hacking it out of a contest to no target.

He couldn't possibly do worse than O'Shea
Not defending O'Shea, Just think Clurey needs another week.

I noted that he could have played over Bobby this week but we'd be rushing him in a bit.

****. It we lose this.

Goodnight sweet Ken. You will have totally, irreversibly lost my respect and confidence.

Last week, I turned my life upside down to get to the game. This week, I don't know if I'll bother to watch it.

The fact that we still refuse to bring in Butcher or Howard as another tall option is pissing me off more than O'Shea somehow keeping his spot, tbh.

This how I feel. You could have dropped any of about a dozen players including the Captain and I wouldnt have bat an eyelid, but FFS give me another tall.

And this is it!!!
Ken is waiting for some magical SANFL form to put pressure on players in the AFL who are ..um..out of form!

SANFL form sometimes doesn't relate to AFL..seen many players look 10x better the first AFL game after weeks of putrid SANFL games.

Give us something Ken. There is so much vanilla in this team.

The other problem with this is that losing players at the top end has an even bigger effect on our SANFL form than our AFL form.
The drop off in talent at the threshold of the AFL team is far less than it is at the bottom of the SANFL team.

Expecting our journeymen and rookies to 'show form' when the entire team is struggling to even maintain a structure is sheer lunacy.

Besides, I don't recall O'Shea showing too much form before being elevated, nor even maintaining it once he got there.
