Whatever the changes, unless the players pull their heads out of their arses, we are in for a world of pain next weekend. Just look at what the Eagles are doing to the Saints right now.

In: howard/butcher, rgray, austin, neade
Out: westhoff, amon, o'shea, toumpas

The effort level of everyone right now is unacceptable but I feel like we cant give westy any more chances. For a guy of his ability, he just doesn't do anything with it. Hes been average for the majority of the last year and a half. He's versatile and all that crap but floating around the ground for a few cheap possies and taking a mark in the back 50 isnt enough. Doesnt score enough goals or impact on games. Hes a senior player, and its time he starts acting like it.

Amon should never have been brought in. His form wasnt deserving of a recall and Toump was building into some good form.

Neade is a poor man's Impey. We don't need two of them and Oshea is simply shit. Generally looks good when we're winning and doing well but as soon as the pressure is on, he falls apart. I like Cam, he's got some good attributes but he is never going to be a consistent part of our best 25 and its time for MC to realise it

I'll start by dropping Boak. How's that for a message?

Amon and O'Shea never to be seen again. Drop a few more "leaders" to reinforce the message.

Bring in whoever wants to play, I don't really care.
Amon was good today, except the **** up in the last quarter. But why weren't his team mates there for him?

His teammates probably weren't expecting him to go for a warm up jog inside Carlton's 50 when we were 10 points up with 5 minutes to go.

It's all well and good to say "where was the talk?", but anybody with half a brain wouldn't have needed to be told that he was under pressure while jogging out of a stoppage late in a close game.

I was against dropping Toumpas for Amon based on Jimmy actually being a 2 way runner, sure it probably didn't seal the result but it set a bad precedent.

We dropped a player who's been doing the right things defensively & offensively for a guy that didn't really earn his spot & doesn't doesn't like getting dirty in the trenches.

22 touches, a goal & a single tackle vs a guy who's trying his best to turn his career around averaging 4 tackles, 20 touches a week & does a shit ton of hard running that doesn't get highlighted.

As much as been made of Toumpas' lack of awareness/urgency I don't think he'd get run down like Amon did when the games on the line.
Correct . im not a fan of the Toump's , but Amon didn't deserve selection over him and he showed why , but by golly , how many times do the likes of him have to prove that they aren't up to it ?.

He could still hold his head high. He fought hard all day. More than some.

Looked like he was in the sanfl.

Out: Ah Chee, O'Shea
In: R Gray, Clurey

would like to give Amon a few games to see what he has got. Ah Chee goes missing too often in games, can almost see him being delisted (sadly) given he only had a 1 year contract.

Oshea will likely stay in because we have no other options however I would like to give Clurey a few games too.

Hoon dominated in the SANFL however I don't think he has an AFL future.

By the way , onto my old pushbike , haven't seen Ebert's name in the good or the shit list , so how did our VC go ? , saving his energy for the Port Maggies game next week perhaps ?.

Really is shuffling deck chairs. Amon didn't deserve a recall this week and Toumpas was stiff. The real problem is we don't have anyone banging the door down in the 2s. If R Gray is right I would suspect he comes in for Ah Chee.

Otherwise there won't be much more to change.

Travis isn't going to get dropped. But it would be the right thing for him to stand down for as long as he needs.

R Gray in for Boak
Carlile for O'Shea
Toumpas back, to give him time to build his confidence with the game plan. Amon out
I'd reward Mitchell for his consistent reggies form, Ah Chee out
Would love to at least have a roll of the dice with Butcher, but if he's not been an in to date, it seems unlikely he's going to get a game, and that would create probably too many changes. But him in for Neade gives a lot more backbone to the forward line
