My biggest gripe is not so much the lack of dropping underperforming players but it's as plain as dogs balls we are in need of one or two extra tall players. Would it kill us to go in with Howard or Butcher or both?

Also, Amon staying in suggests his front-running and failure to support teammates was part of his role last week.

Whatever the respective thoughts on the long-term viability of the eligible players amongst this lot, surely you pick at least 1 or 2 if only to maintain any semblance of threat for underperformance?

Bloody hell 20 marks! That's nearly 1/3 of our total team output against Carlton last week.

Don't mind Colquhoun, think he's a better & harder working player than a few others currently letting the team down with half assed efforts.

The fact he can't even get a spot as an emergency after that effort really does back up Ken's 'reward for good form' line.

Just got home from work and check the teams...so we were too short against a Carlton team who had a key forward go down in the first 5 minutes and a ruckman on one leg and we essentially get shorter against with a team with a plethora of tall options!?

Dougal or Butch had to come in this week!

How Neade, O'Shea, Stewart and Amon stay in the team is a joke...none are AFL standard!

I understand we don't have a great deal of options but to continue playing blokes who aren't up to it isn't getting us anywhere. We need to find the 3 or 4 blokes in our squad willing to play a role and work both ways...playing these guys again is just wasting that opportunity!

Season on the line and Ken doesn't have the balls to make the big calls needed...still trusting the blokes who've let the club down time and again!

I just don't see much of what he purports to provide in a defensive sense, but perhaps I'm clouded by just how bad his defensiveIQ was in the lead-up to Carlton's go-ahead goal.

He decided to attempt to spoil Liam Jones front-on - he didn't, freshed aired it, DBJ got the fist in - but the instant he committed to that aerial contest (see above), his man, Sam Kerridge, stopped dead and sweated off for the crumbs.

Which he got.

Along with the effortless goal assist to Kreuzer.

In fairness to Impey, literally every one of our small/medium defenders would have done the same thing in that situation. None of them should, but all of them would.
