Any word on WHE? Is he having scans?

Further examination of Hoskin-Elliott's knee, which was injured on Sunday in a collision with Essendon defender Mitch Brown and left the forward in pain and concerned he had ruptured ligaments, has the club comfortable he has avoided structural damage.

"It seems to be with Will more bone bruising than any structural damage," Collingwood football manager Geoff Walsh said. "They will treat it symptomatically now. What that means for this week am not sure – I would think he would be doubtful."

It's basically structure. We can't have Three Talls up forward. He's playing FWD/RUCK same as Cox. He played his best footy for a while from all reports yesterday.
Does mean he was good, or very ordinary but better than the less than ordinary of previous weeks?

Appleby injury whilst disapponting for him and whilst I don't ever want to see players get injured, actually improves us.

With ball in hand he is like a deer in the headlights at the moment.
He is very slow to move it on and is afraid to take any sort of risk.
This stifles our run off half back.

I'm hoping Murray comes straight in because he is far more decisive and instinctive which fits our back 6 mould so much better.

Darling only stands 191cm so can be taken by the existing defenders in the 22.

If we believe Kennedy will be back then send Mihocek to defence and give McLarty an opportunity up forward.

Moore had an achilles concern during the off season and has now done his hamstring twice.

He first needs to prove fitness and find form at the lower intensity level of VFL before being considered for AFL selection IMO.

Moore and Elliott are going to be crucial to our chances of beating Richmond and by extension winning the flag so I hope we don't rush either and look at the bigger prize on offer than this weeks 4 points.

We can beat the Eagles in Melbourne without Moore.

Thought Playing a Full Game has Proved his Fitness

Grundy and the way we use the footy going forward is the key to this game. If Grundy can stop Nicnat palming it down their midfielders throats their midfield doesn’t stand a chance. Our midfield needs to cut off the supply to Kennedy.
Thought Kennedy only an outside chance to be back?

Here's what Simpson said after the game...
Speaking post-match, relieved coach Adam Simpson praised his troops for holding on for an 11th victory and hoped some star power would be available for a crunch match against second-placed Collingwood at the MCG next Sunday.
"We could have up to four players coming back with JK and JD and (Mark) LeCras. Dom (Sheed) is available and (Tom) Barrass as well," Simpson said.
"We'll have to manage that if they all come back at once."

Kennedy won't be back

I think Crocker gets a lifeline with injury. He hasn’t been worthy, no question, but I dare say he stays in.

Well hopefully not all make it back. Especially Kennedy

Out Appleby WHE
IN Murray Varcoe

Would like Crocker out but I doubt we will have 2 forwards go out in the same week.
Most likely Bucks seems focused on stability in teams. Any chance Smith for Crocker...just saying???

Yep. If they are not going to promote Moore then Crocker stays.

I'd happily welcome McLarty into the side for Crocker. I mean let's face it, Crocker hardly impacted the game yesterday and I think McLarty can exceed that contribution. Would certainly give their defence a few more concerns. Also gives us a lot more flexibility.
