LeCras had a wrist operation last week and I heard him interviewed on radio where he said he'll miss 3 to 4 weeks
last Tuesday at training Kennedy was walking laps. I'll be staggered if he played.
not sure on darling.

West Coast have said that Darling, Kennedy and LeCras will play this week. Moore should be a definite in for us this week.

I think you are exactly right. Don’t think LeCras is any chance to play.

Darling wanted to play this week from reports but they held him back. Think he will be a definite in.

Don’t think Kennedy will play, but walking laps is normal for him. He almost never trains, but somehow gets up to play most weeks. The end will be swift for him I think.

Why wouldn’t he be? Eagles bringing in Kennedy and Darling who haven’t trained in over a month.
Our conservative approach hasn’t worked. We’ve tried this before
Kennedy and Darling have knee/ankle injuries. Not really comparable to Moore. On a very limited season so far, they are going to give Moore more time.
played 75% to 80% of game time
Imagine the reports if Moore comes back and re-does his hammy "after only playing 75% of VFL game time the week before".

We’ve won 7 in a row,
Our approach is working

If Darling is the only in, then Moore stays in the VFL. Mihocek will need to play down back however on Darling, as Langdon or Scharenberg wont have the body strength to go with him.

I hope Moore isn't promoted.
We are at apoint where we should only make changes for injury and only then promote the best performed consistent VFL player. The only player I am desperate to get back is Elliot. Moore doesn;t actually have exposed top end AFL form. He's still just a promising but injury prone prospect. Wells is a write off an Treloar is gone for the year.

That'd be great. Given this was Varcoe's second game in the VFL in his recovery from a hammy, and it wasn't his second hammy for the year, if Moore is played, I would be very surprised.
Agree.
Doubt Moore comes in so soon.
Only forced changes this week (as other weeks).
Out: Appleby, Maybe WHE
IN: Varcoe or maybe Murray

Nb Crocker should be nervous (If WHE is ok...then Crocker maybe omitted)

Hi all. Sorry to intrude, but I saw this and couldn't help myself.

The West Coast media people are notoriously full of sh*t at the best of times. As an example, they told us that Kennedy only copped a knee knock in the Swans game and would be fine for Essendon, then next minute his leg was broken and it was a Collingwood supporter of all people who broke the news to us about 5 days before we were given the official prognosis!

Basically, don't listen to the honeyed lies that spill from their lips.

We are expecting LeCras to miss (due to aforementioned surgery), and one of Darling or Kennedy to be available. If we are really lucky we'll also get Barrass back, but not certain.

IN: Varcoe, C.Brown
OUT: Appleby, Daicos

Only changes i would make.
Crocker can consider himself extremely lucky that Appleby went down.

On a side note how has appleby been in his 1 on 1 contests? Might have a good shut down defender on our hands, we need one.

Appleby is out so some body capable of playing back is needed, Murray was the carry over player and the nearest like for like, so thts were I'm leaning.

IF WHE does not play Varcoe plays.

Thomas was just going but a few almost snaps and he's got some chits in the bank. So Thomas stays.

Crocker just going, but no real like replacement available so I expect he'll be given at least another one.

Mayne done enough to keep Smith out. kicked goals in VFL but he's a winger can;'t se him playing forward at the top level,

Levi doing enough for mine, back line tag and midfield rotation, still looks lost occasionally of defensive spoils. but gets in as small defender.

Moore is going to be a temptation facing the coasters. Moore playing back effectively replacing Dunn, with VFL bye another factor as he won;'t get a game if held back to build game time.

Diacs needs to do a little more. Some of it great, but most of his disposal is meh, defensive game is getting better.

PIES FACE BIG CALL ON MOORE

COLLINGWOOD utility Darcy Moore took his first steps towards an AFL return yesterday, playing a key role down back in the Magpies’ 58-point VFL win against Werribee.

Having missed nearly two months with his second hamstring injury of the year, Moore made a successful comeback as the Pies seek defensive reinforcements after Lynden Dunn’s season-ending knee injury.

VFL coach Jared Rivers said Moore could take confidence from his strong showing.

“He got around the 75 per cent, 80 per cent game time, played down back and looked really good,” Rivers said.

“I think he has definitely put his hand up (for AFL selection), but whether it is another week or two, we’ll just have to wait and see.”

Possibly complicating Moore’s return against West Coast on Sunday is that Collingwood has a bye in the VFL, meaning the 22-year-old’s next game may not be for another fortnight.

Fellow returning player Josh Smith didn’t miss a beat in his first game since May.

Smith, who had been out with a hamstring injury, kicked three goals.

“To present like he did today was fantastic,” Rivers said.

Midfielder Travis Varcoe was also in good touch in his second game back from a hamstring injury.

Collingwood kicked six goals to one in the final quarter to finish with a 15.14 (104) to 6.10 (46) victory at Victoria Park.
