Cox will be a handfull but Todd can follow him back.

Grima is the perfect match up for Darling.

I'm not overly concerned about the jumping hair hat aside from his influence at the ruck contests. A massively overhyped player.

He's actually spending at least 50% of games as a permanent forward so that won't work. Even though there'll be a mismatch on one of our defenders, we just need a 3rd player to come over the top. Cox won't beat any of our blokes for pace.

Anyway else got a good feeling about this?
If Brisbane can roll them at the Gabba i think we can at Bellerive.
They will be a long way from home and we are in good form.

Cunnington has not impressed me at all this year. He needs to wait for a door to open before he's welcomed back with open hearts. Did we miss him tonight? No! And North Ballarat have some big games coming up and Cunners intestinal gratitude will be invaluable. He is the ultimate professional and when the young guys at Nth Ballarat see how well Cunners prepares for each and every game, they will soon realise you can't have your coke and eat it too.

Whilst Delaney held Kosi to zero goals, I would have thompson in.
Delaney made a few turnovers that resulted in goals.
I would be reluctant to change the forward line. Tarrant needs time, he got a better defender this week.

Thompson for Firrito? it would be unlucky for spud as he played well but ultimatley with Delaney's progression I think that these two will be fighting for the same role. Thommo playing a third tall role can really harness his running ability and strength overhead.

Grima-Darling
Delaney-Lynch
Thompson-Resting ruck/third tall.

Leave cunners in the seconds for a couple of weeks.

Scotty T is a walk up start however Luke Delaney has a very good match up in Q. Lynch.

This week will be tricky.
Even considering his massive brain fade early, that game was actually one of Delaneys best IMO. NFI who we can drop for Scotty T though.

Agree on Cunners too, I would give him another couple of weeks in the VFL so he can run his guts out in the middle of the ground and get some real confidence back, then bring him back and actually play him in the midfield rotations for once.

Rough on spud, but structurally it makes sense.

Totally agree it is rough on spud, i think this lineup gives us really good balance.

Reckon pedo in for flash to give us more versatility. Harper to be the sub.

Pedo can play anywhere including the ruck and is very mobile so will come in handy against the tall eagles team.

Thompson to come in for delaney probably

B: McMahon Thompson firrito
HB: atley grima wright
C: bastinac swallow Gibson
HF: boomer tarrant Adams
F: Thomas Petrie Hansen
R: Goldstein ziebell wells
I: pedersen Macmillan Anthony Harper

Correctamundo.

He should have been eased back to regain touch a month ago.

Bring him back when he has been officially diagnosed with leather poison and utilise him as an OFFENSIVE player.

Pederson is also kicking down the door for a call up.

He has looked shot confidence wise for a month.

Unfortunately wanting to give young players a spell in the VFL to regain touch means your a hater on this board.

He was basically instructed to follow blokes around.

Ben is a playmaker. Let him make play. Let him back his instincts.

If he's not physically up to the AFL level yet, then let him make play in the VFL.

If Thompson comes in, and we want L. Delaney in also, is there a problem with perhaps rotating Firrito thorugh the midfield given our oft-lamented lack of harder, experienced bodies in there?

Not that it's been a problem lately, but I love his run and carry and his willingness to take the game on (minus handballing at the feet!)

Or another plan could be Atley to the midfield to free up that backline spot so that Firrito, Delaney and Thompson can all play there. Would not mind seeing Atley in the midfield at some stage.

Or yet another plan could be Wright to the forward line (which is where he should really be IMO, although really liked his game yesterday FWIW), drop Campbell, use Harper as the sub, and bring Cunnington back in.

Got options, just saying.

In: Pederson
Out: Tarrant

Thompson obviously if fit - most likely for Delaney, but would be very unlucky.

Cunnington to get another VFL game to continue his development, excellent to hear about his efforts - great response :thumbsu:

Robbie hater?

He isn't going anywhere! Our best football this year has been with a solid 3 man forward line.

Not at all - stupid thing to imply.

I am a Pederson fan though, which I why I think he should come in for Taz. We are not winning because of the "3 man forward line", we are winning because our midfield has improved dramatically the last two games.

We can play both of them this week against the tall eagles team.
Flash out for pedo

The most important thing is that the coach bites the bullet and makes the necessary changes if the conditions don't suit the current line up.

After that:

1) Hurn
2) Darling/Lynch
3) The west coast ruckman that goes forward.

If it's wet we bring in Thompson for Car Keys and Pedo for Robbie T.

If it's dry, we leave out flash and bring in Thompson.

There is no chance Spud will get dropped. No chance in hell. And so he shouldn't with finals in our sights and the footy he has played this year.

Don't particularly care for Delanhey - so what if he stopped Kosi getting a kick, so could I. He should make way for Thommo ASAP.

You know my thoughts on Tarrant - not good enough with kicking or contested marking. I would prefer Pedo, but it hasn't happened all season so it ain't happening now.

Campbell - (who i am also not a fan of) gave us great drive in the last quarter - 7 touches was a great result so tough to drop him.

Anthony - couldn't get dropped after that many touches. Still think he is a bit selective as to when to go.

Gibson - good game from Gibbo, wont get dropped.

Surely Hunter if he is fit GR.
B: McMahon Thompson Firrito
HB: Atley Grima Wright
C: Wells Ziebell Adams
HF: Harvey Hansen Thomas
F: Harper Petrie Tarrant
R: Goldstein Swallow Bastinac
I: MacMillan Anthony Gibson Campbell
What about a recall for Cunnington? Did Flash and Harper do enough to hold their spots?
Edwards any chance? Pederson has been dominating at Weribee. And then there are Mullet and Speight. They up for a gig?

Yes if he's fit but I'm not sure he will be. Those back injuries are an absolute killer.

In: Cunnington (will have plenty to prove), Thompson (obvious)
Out: Harper (find some touch in 2s ala Cunners), Delaney (stiff)
Sub: Campbell
Emerg: Garlett, Pedersen, L Delaney
If it's wet, Garlett comes in for Tarrant.
