Looking forward to selections. Whoever plays must play well, if all goes to plan and we win like Ken wants us too expect to see a settled team for a bit after Sunday.

Good to see the playing group publically coming out and saying they've ****** up for the large majority of this season. Too much glarizing and chummy pats on the back for making a couple of Final appearances and not enough hard, gut busting, on the edge footy we've all come to love.

Got a feeling the wheels quickly going to turn and Richmond are going to be on the end of a good old fashion hiding. Troy Chaplain can EAD as well.

Thanks Boxx, Killer Power, BornPort, and Garibaldi Red (hopefully missed no-one) for offering to help out when I was trying to get tickets for my cousin and his wife. As I said to Boxx elsewhere they organised something else instead, they didn't think they would get around the apparent unavailability of tickets. Disturbing lack of faith in Powerstufff from my cousin, but at our age I can't tell on him to his parents without a Ouija board.

That Hartlett article reminds me of the Geelong D&M session after their early loss to norf in 2007. I hope some home truths were said.

Also has elements of Dom's "line in the sand" moment. Let's see if they deliver. Hopefully you're right.

So I finally got around to watching the game this morning after being out for most of Sunday. like the last couple of weeks, I think there's a one major thing the selection panel need to tweak. which is just midfield run. Not necessarily outside run just just more minutes played by more players. From last year it seems we had 15 or so players that could run through there up on a wing or even in the middle. This year it has dwindled where we've opted for consistent structure over what made us a solid team in a high energy midfield. I think there's a couple things that really have stopped that in its tracks.

Krakeour, Broadbent, Impey: I don't see how they play in the defence. Krakeour is averaging 3.7 second half disposals(process that... think of whether you're including him for his 4 offensive touches or his defence that must be struggling on the back of fitness). while Broadbent has been invisible for most of the season. For the record I think Broadbent has improved greatly on his defensive stuff. I just think it makes it extremely hard on the midfield to say ok, you guys are rotating off the bench to at best play HBF. They just can't all play together.

Trengove, Carlile, Jonas, Hombsch: a little reluctant to put Hombschy in the group of 4 as he offers great rebound but this category is basically aimed at Jonas. Last year I was hoping he would start playing midfield as our other parts of the defensive group can be extremely dour and at times against certain teams we need a little extra run. It hasn't happened, while I hope he will be our next part time tagger against certain teams he's just not required against others. if we have all 4 of the talls above and there's no way he gets a gig instead of one of the 3 above as a rebounding small. I think it was shown last week when we rested Carlile, including O'Shea to defend didn't make sense in my head given the Lions line up. Karlos should have been in the 22 for the run and O'Shea or someone else should have been sub. That's not hindsight either that was my thoughts and posts at the time.

Ryder: this for me isn't a big one, but it's a change and it is impacting. Ryder in, means Lobbe's rucking less everyone knew that at the time, but not many thought Lobbe would be continually inept as a forward. I think the general feel around the place was it was going to be 70% Lobbe 30% Ryder. Right now I think it needs to be closer to 85% Lobbe 15% Ryder. Which means Paddy needs to learn to play forward a hell of a lot more. I think it's coming as I said I don't have a problem with this too much, it's a learning process I think Lobbe spent much more time rucking last week than the previous which is a step forward. He's also impacting the hoff. While everyone wants to drop him, he's suffering from being worked out a little and learning to play with a structure he's never had in his career which releases him a lot more.

White: part 1, he's injured and slow which renders him useless. Part 2, he's been worked out a little mainly due to the team being worked out and he's a big part of how we play. But I think his defensive work has been a bit below standard. He seems to be playing his normal HFF or attacking wing but he just hasn't really been hitting hard in defending the forward line. It seems Ryder is the only one ever trying to run down an opponent out of defensive 50.

IMO Krak has to be sub, or Broadbent has to move up on to the wing/into the middle one or the other. White needs to be addressed either he's fit enough to sprint flat out 30 times for the game, or he's not, and he's out.

Carlile for O'Shea. Easy.
Wines in for Mitchell. A bit less easy but last 2 games haven't been up to Sanfl standard.
If White out, Neade in (please, please do not be the ever slow S.Gray I would prefer white as he offers a little more on one leg speed and defence wise than Sam can muster with 2) I think Gray needs to target Monfries spot and I think Neade will always play before Gray. unlike some I can see Gray getting a game just not as the terrier we need right now.
If Krak isn't sub and Broadbent moves on the ball I think Amon is sub again.
Jonas very close to being listed here.

Jonas Carlile Trengove
Pittard Hombsch Impey
Broadbent Boak Ebert
Amon Schulz Wingard
Neade Ryder Monfries
Lobbe Wines Gray

Cornes Hartlett Westhoff

Krak.

very good analysis.

Looking forward to seeing the selections reflect the talk. Not sure 'Mitchell' = grunt.... But bet he plays.

I think the changes will just be

Out: Amon, O'Shea

In: Wines, Carlile

Somehow I think this is all we'll see too. Ken must be spellbound by Mitchell's biceps or something. There's simply no other way to explain it.

i think amon will stay. Might be sub again

I reeeaaaally hope we bring in Neade. With wingard in the midfield, i see neade in as a no brainer

For me, Mitchell isn't someone you look to when we need a lift and he has been exposed quite a bit the last 2 weeks.

I think he is someone that plays well when the team is playing well.

Amon has to be rewarded surely? 9 disposals and a goal in a quarter of footy!

To be honest, it's only been the last 2 weeks where he's fallen in a hole. The few weeks prior to that means he probably built up enough tokens for one bad performance, much alike Young. however 2 bad performances, like young, should see him out of the team.

Less talk from Hammer and more leadership on field would be good.

Players have to be put up for interviews.

What would you like them to say or would you like the club to tell the media, no interviews because we have lost a few, sorry!
