Out: Mitchell, O'Shea
In: Carlile, Wines

O'Shea wasn't even getting good reviews in the SANFL, why did he get a game today? I'd rather have seen Colquhoun play.

I like Cameron O'Shea but he had no business being out there tonight on exposed form and delivered exactly what he's currently capable of.

A slap in the face to the fans and Paul Stewart who currently shits all over Cam every day of the week.

Sorely tempted to bring in Moore with Wines and Ah Chee to give us some real presence around the ball.

spot on the money!

Need some big strong bodies - no more wimps around the ball

In: Carlile, Wines, Moore, Ah Chee, Stewart
Out Westhoff O'Shea, Mitchell, White, Amon

Sub - Kornes. He's cooked.

If westhoff gets a game next week I'll pull my hair out. If he doesn't wanna be out there he doesn't deserve too.

I liked what Amon brought. Can at least hit a target 40+m away.

But Mitchell, White and Westhoff haven't endeared me and O'Shea while lively early vanished when the heat was on.

Way too much emphasis on uncontested footy at Port this year no matter what Ken says.

Kochie said last year that he wants us to be like Sydney, competitive finalists year in year out. We're not even close at the moment, we need to be much stronger around the ball. Even allowing for the one year back to go forward theory, the past couple of weeks especially have smacked of arrogance.

Amon top stay.

In Ah Chee Carlisle Wines

Out OShae White Mitchell

This is close to how it should be.
We cannot drop guys like Westhoff, Hartlett or Jonas.
They are part of the old success formula, and if we can't resurrect the old formula then we have no formula.
Westhoff Hartlett and Jonas have to regain their form in the big league, and be quick about it.

he will though, he is too much of an attractive weapon and can turn things around pretty quickly.

we can't afford too many outs, two max for me..

It certainly starts there. Boak is not strong or competitive enough in the stoppages this year. Gray is being multi teamed. Hartlett is a ghost of a footballer.
We need to reset our midfield with strength and power.

yep, Jonas is genuinely down on form but is trying hard. Broadbent would also fall into that category.

Full credit to Krak though, he is giving his all.

Why didn't Ah Chee get promoted for a full run this week?

Young goes straight out after one horrid week. White endures another week of looking a yard slow. Mitchell's got the Rodan gold pass.

And sorry to labour the point, but Cameron O'Shea gets a gig - and promptly delivers a whopping 7 touches - after taking the piss all year.

We can talk about workrate and hunger and fitness and all the rest, but for the past fortnight we've treated our opposition like the Australian cricket team treats the likes of Bangladesh at selection. "Let's open the batting with Glenn Gillespie lololol".

Completely agree. I'm not sure I'm buying the 'We're bigger than last year' shit Hinkley has been selling.

From a purely lay perspective, we do seem smaller and less fit. There were faceless Brisbane players running harder than us in Q1 - Brad Ebert looked like he was on a treadmill early ffs.

Has Burgess cooked them with his much trumpeted "we're going to flog them even harder this year!", or has the transition in bodyshapes cost us the core strength that held us in such good stead in 2013 and 2014?

Our players were getting ragdolled incessantly which is something I don't remember happening to Geelong and Hawthorn (or us) when they were challenging.

We either go back to playing Port Adelaide football or return to the bad old days of playing Playstation footy while talking about Port Adelaide football.

I think Hardwick must be quite excited about meeting Port next week. I dont think any changes will save Port from falling further into the poo here.
Something strange is going on here and we may have to endure more of the same imo.
