White still gets a game?

When you get smashed on the inside, your outside runners look poor. Assuming there's no injury issue (which I doubt), White will look and perform better when our midfield is firing.

Broadbent is a biggish out but hardly a "wow" big out. If any of the established players was going to be dropped he was looking the most likely with Impey back in the team.
Mitchell's omission makes the inclusion of Sam Gray a little easier to stomach.

obviously broadbent has been dropped, floating around getting cheap touches is all he has done this year, go back to the maggies, dominate, then come back better for the run. hoff and white must be close, both need big games this week. there are form players just waiting for a chance.

White has done nothing. Would prefer Broadie in that role.

Whitey is Ken's version of Nathan Lonie. Obviously a much better footballer, but Ken brought him to the club for a reason so unless he loses a leg he'll usually be given every chance to play. Right now i'd drop him too. He's clearly lacking his usual spark and pace so I'm not entirely sure what he's offering. Perhaps this week's sub?

Sub will surely be Gray but I wouldn't be opposed to this m8.

Ken and co. dont much like Broadie it seems. No votes from them in 3 finals last year was unbelievable.

Ok they are prepared to drop a 1st 18 player, so when does Westhoff get held accountable for not kicking goals or being involved in more of them? He is the Mark Waugh of Port Adelaide, Waugh was in the Test side for his batting, but because he was a great fielder in any position and can bowl, he kept his spot despite his main role was to get runs and regularly didnt. Same with the Hoff. He should have kicked 15 goals by now, not 5, but because he goes down back and takes the marks you want him to take inside forward 50, not the defensive 50, he stays.

this rivals redden's inclusion as the dumbest thing we've done all year. hahahaha

With Impey in we have a slight surplus of Broadbent types in defence. Dropping Westhoff would be cutting off your nose to spite your face.

Can't see Gray as sub - not really someone you'd bring on to make an impact.
White would be my choice.
If Broadbent wasn't dropped I think Krakouer would have been good as sub.

I can see Gray playing a full game. Give White the vest.

If I'm right and S.Gray is a direct replacement for Mitchell, then I reckon he'll play a full game. Got a feeling Amon will don the vest again although I agree that White should wear it.

Its about making him accountable at some point. If we had better depth in KFP's he would be more than just under threat of being dropped. As I said, if we are going to drop first 18 players because their form is down, then White and Westhoff have to be in the gun give for what they have produced the last few weeks, not what they can produce or have produced in past seasons.

no, dropping westhoff would be the right call, adding nothing to the side this year. we have changed our forward structure and it hasnt worked, we have gone from the second highest scoring team to a side that struggles to kick 10 goals v a bottom team. we cant buy a goal these days, go back to 2 talls and a plethra of mid sized blokes up forward, gray and wingard need to spend more time forward, good luck matching up on them. we desperately need to score more.

We can't have Krak, Pittard and Broadbent in the same side. Last 2 weeks have proven that. Broadbent hasn't been playing badly, but his form is behind the other 2 so no issues with the side for me.

broadbent is having a shocking season. it is the right call to drop him.

Changes from the ef sides:

port:
IN: Ryder, Krakouer, Sam Gray, Amon, Impey
OUT: Moore, Neade, O'Shea, Broadbent, Polec

Richmond:
IN: McIntosh, Ellis, Vickery, Hunt, Menadue
OUT: Gordan, Foley, Petterd, Conca, Newman

From out point of view; 3 depth players and 2 considered to be 22 at the start of the year are out whilst 2 more expeirnce and arguably talented players come in, 2 young runners; impey amon and in good form sam gray
Richmond also bloods 3 new players who've never played against us; Menadue ellis and McIntosh whilst maintaining a 3 tall forward line. Loss in experience to newman and foley and depth players in gordan and petterd.

As much as we want white as sub the most likely candidate would be amon.
