Squiggle tips Lions at 56% chance -- What's your tip? -- Injury Lists » -- All Rd 10 Games
Yes.
Time to give L Smith a shot.
He's our only remaining genuine ruckman fit and he's not awful. In fact been very solid for most games he's played.

You'd expect English to be back before Lobb now anyway. English would have played last night if it was a grand final, he's not too far off. Lobb will be a few weeks with that hammy.I didn’t watch the VFL but based on the stats Smith appears to have been beaten in the ruck by Rhys Stanley and the Cats backup to the backup. And so far this year hasn’t offered much outside of the ruck at that level.
We won the clearances last night anyway. And I don’t think Smith will do any better than Emmett at AFL level. I think Emmett has shown a lot, he’s better than Smith in other roles, and if anything he’s more competitive than English was at the same age. We just have to ruck Lobb until Tim is back and Busslinger or Gardner have to come in as a KPD and we have to wear that for a week or two. It’s not like Lobb set the world on fire as a KPD last night.
If Darcy is out for 12 months then a season of AFL for Emmett and Croft as forwards and backup rucks has to be the silver lining.
Good call bresker. Ay least one of us had a decent night...In fairness I stopped watching. Not because of the injuries but because my lady friend arrived .
I did watch the game, and the Essendon game live, Smith at the moment is significantly better and moment than Emmett in the ruck. He was more than competetive in ruck contests against their rucks. What the stats show is when he wasn't rucking there is no back up at VFL level and thats when they dominated hit outs.I didn’t watch the VFL but based on the stats Smith appears to have been beaten in the ruck by Rhys Stanley and the Cats backup to the backup. Where to start... For those saying Lewis out, Bevo specifically mentioned him in his presser saying now is his chance to get some AFL football under his belt so safe to say he will be staying in.
We've seen this story before. This is a concerning mindset.
In what world would the team have not been significantly stronger with Lobb as forward/Ruck who could go back if things went bad, Buss down back and Lewis in the VFL.
Even this week putting Williams and Bont more forward adds more opportunity to Lewis
Would it even matterI have a horrible feeling that Bont will miss a few.
Did Bevo even watch the game Lewis hardly touched it and when he did he just stuffed everything up nowhere near AFL standard. We've seen this story before.
Nothing against Lewis but we've seen Bevo get hard ons for random VFL standard players before. There has to be some sort of psychology behind it.
As Dogs fans, this is now the 10th straight season of dealing with the same repeat issues. Mind boggling.
Competed as well as he could. Just not physically ready for Rucking as yet.Emmett was good tonight I thought
10 points?Margin hate to think. Please do not let Curnow kick 10.
