Anticipating a physical game??

It's going to be brutal in the first quarter I'll bet. It will then be down to who can sustain it for the rest of the game.

But last time we played Richmond there (2010) was a 50+ pt win.

Bit of a different team from our 2010 lot Kanga. I think our last meeting is more relevant, which was you by 13 but at the dome.

Looks like wright will take delido but I would rather he take Martin when not in the centre. Martins 15-20 posses are more damaging than delidos 30+ posses.

Dusty hasn't been as damaging this year as Lids, who is in career best from. But the fact he'll be firing to make up of th 2 week suspension makes it interesting to say the least.

Your core players will have to dominate the game in order for Richmond to win and someone from left field is going to have to kick some goals.

Norths bottom 6-8 shite all over Richmonds current equivalent.

Is Maric fit?

Maric: No, but he'll play anyway. I reckon he could have got through last week with a pain killer and they decided at the last minute not to do it - only to regret it 120 minutes later.

Spread of goal kickers this year hasn't been too bad for us. At different times King, Nahas, Lids, Cotch, Dusty and even Edwards have all contributed significant numbers. Jack has missed having a decent tall partner in crime though.

TBH I'm half expecting a shootout this week. Especially if your full forward line plays, which I think would really stretch us.

If it turns into a shoot-out I reckon we will win running away.

Could well do. Depends on how you adjust to the wider spaces of the 'G I guess. It's an advantage because you have more space to work with, but a disadvantage in that we do too. Martin, Jackson and Maric are huge ins for us this week in that regard. Maric to be competitive in the ruck, Jackson as one of our few extractors, Martin as both an extractor and runner.

PS. Nice shiny new avatar there Old Skool

You may as well rest Maric this week. He won't have the guile to combat Goldy. Big Ivan will get his pants pulled down, save him the embarrassment imo. Not expecting big things from Martin either, kid just doesn't seemed to be as focused on his footy this year and it's nigh on impossible to just flick the switch and hit form straight up.

Richmond better hope they can at least break even in the middle because any advantage we get will be translated into a big winning margin. The 9 day break will do wonders for our spread and ability to run out the game. North by 71 pts. Don't laugh, I get it right every week.

Gheez, i had to doubletake to confirm that there was an actual game being played this week..

This is a massive game to say the least.

We win this, we only have to win 4 from last 6 with a very soft draw to guarantee finals.

We lose, and its just about curtains despite all the hope of the last 5 weeks,

Apart from the obvious suspension and injury cover, I think Garlett will come in for Campbell as the sub to provide a bit more clearance grunt.

Wright - Deledio
Cunnington - Cotchin
Grima - Jack R
Goldy - Maric

The rest can play anywhere. North by 43 pts, Hansen 5, Petrie 4, Tarrant 3, Thomas 3/6.

You're sitting on 135 points in your tipping comp? Please tell me the rest of your tips for the week. ;)

Notwithstanding our recent poor form and outs, what on earth makes you think you can beat us by 3x more than any other top 8 team this year? Our worst loss for the year was 44 in round 1. From memory or next worst was 21 v the Pies the following week.

While I think you'll win (especially of Petrie plays), I wouldn't be dismissing our ins with the cavalier attitude you have, you can bet Scott doesn't.

I don't necessarily agree with the margin mentioned above, but I do think an injured Maric will get trounced by Goldy this week. Who did the ruckwork for you last week?

Graham played in the position of "ruckmen" but no one actually did any ruck work. Except maybe the odd third man up.

Spot on. We'll see if "The Mullet"* can compete, but even if he doesn't we're no worse off than we were last week.

How are they going to hold the triple towers?

Post is a talent but he would get rag dolled by Drew, Lachie or Tazza.

Fair to say that I almost dislocated my eyebrow this morning when I read the makeup of Richmond's defence. If our forward line gets anywhere near reasonable supply this Sunday will resemble the Carlton game.

Triple towers will cause huge, huge, huge headaches. Rance to Petrie (yeah, okay whatever), Moore to Tarrant (yeah, okay), Morris or Post or whoever on Hansen (oh God). Regardless of how you view Rance and Moore (and I rate Rance slightly ahead of Brent Harvey as a key defender) it's completely obvious we should have a field day exploiting the third match up.

I think that this will be a very tight game. The Tigers have a lot to prove. They must bounce back from last week otherwise much of the good stuff they have done this year will have been a waste of time. I wish they had given Martin 3 weeks off because I think he will come out firing. Losing Ziebell; Petrie and Adams if they play will have injury clouds over them; in my view these factors suggest we will below where we have been over recent weeks and if we turn up with less than 100% commitment, we could cop a hiding.
