He missed most of the 3rd quarter because he took a concussion test and passed it - but still needed to wait the specified 20 minutes. Power tried to get him back on sooner but he had to wait. The reason he took a concussion test is because of cumulative effect of Sloane's hit and the legal hit he got earlier from Betts.

Anyway - we will cop it - like all non-Vic clubs have too. The AFL are trying really hard to get a Vic Prelim final into the schedule Hopefully they can keep all Hawks players out of the MRP for one more week and give them a real chance of the dream 4-peat that they seem to be hankering for now that the WB have gone out of real contention! Or maybe Danger winning a Brownlow and Flag at a Vic club rates higher? Who knows. Campaigners indeed.

Sloan out is massive for us and should even out the midfield battle somewhat. Hutchings, Sheed, Yeo and Masten need to maintain their form to give us a chance. I wonder if we will use Hutchings to tag one of the Crouch brothers? We need to limit the amount of ball that gets into their forward line as it is very potent.

Oh Danger will win Charlie by a big margin. He even polled well when we were struggling and he played average. The umps love him. Sloane was never really in that battle. Rory would just care about us beating you blokes and staying in the top 4

As strange as it seems, we have the midfield players to handle Rory being out. The guys in our midfield are under-rated but effective. Lyons / Crouch boys / Thompson will do a good job with Jacobs feeding them. We have tightened up our defence and our forwards are pretty effective. Hopefully we don't kick for goal like we did last game !!

If Smith doesn't get up we have Henderson who is a similar player ready to come in ... and either Cam Ellis-Yolman or Harrison Wigg would probably fill in for Rory.

Should be a ripper of a game, but I'd still back our team and system at home.

Did you happen to watch the showdown? Deny them of their run and goals out the back and they struggle. We gave them 11 of their goals from our terrible skills and we also had 10 of our best 22 missing. If you turn up to play you will win.
