The difference being Williams basically had to play last week because Vardy was injured and Allen was needed down back, and he was literally the last ruckman standing. Whereas you’re now dropping Langdon, who played much better at AFL level than Cameron did at the lower level, because ... he might come good?

It’s not your worst call, but only because two weeks ago you wanted Gaff dropped for not sticking a tackle.

Surely this one is on the podium?

This club is unbelievably soft. It’s just a good old boys club, no penalty for under performance and no reward for players who earn a spot.

But also please give everyone a chance, it’s not fair that they haven’t had their turn.

Not sure all the talk on Kennedy is on the mark. He seemed very sheepish when interviewed after the game last week as to why he came off. He said he was a bit tight and may have a cork but the way he said (with sheepish smile) it sounded like the Eagles were playing the system and just subbed him out to rest him and get fresh legs on. I was never convinced he was even injured and a light week on the training track for Kennedy isnt so unusual.

That said, we do seem overly tall.

By the time the bye comes around all the injured players should be back so Cameron wont have a chance to get in the team even if doing well in WAFL. Just give him a chance, every other player has gotten a chance
He'll get a chance if he's good enough, if he's not then why should he play?
Don't get me wrong I like him and think he has potential but he doesn't deserve to get into the team based on his play so far this year in the WAFL.

Bit concerned about the lack of options in the midfield. I would like to see them drop one of the 9 forwards and give responsibility to one of the younger mids (O’Neill) while Kelly/Sheed rest forward.

The Nelson hate is bizarre. He is one of our most reliable defenders who can also run through the middle and do a shut down role .
His name would be perma inked in the 22 atm

Nelson’s career start wasn’t the best.

Some people have permanently marked him on the basis of his start.

Has come a long way since beginning.

He's improved.

At the start of this year (continuing on previous form) some of his making of decisions was not good. It wasn't always the decisions being made that were a problem, it was how long he was taking to make that decision. When the decision was wrong it was often handball to static/worse position and when he was taking too long he was getting caught HTB.

He also had a problem with tackling. He was being held by tackles that he really should have been able to break, and wasn't sticking his own.

He's improved in all those areas. Worked on the weaknesses, seems stronger through the core (not Dusty strong, but better than he was) and has executed his decisions quicker.
Early season he was good for a couple of goals a game from being caught/poor execution. Remove the mistakes, remove the giveaway goals. He's improved.

He is also now our best option as a shut down tagger.
