Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa......

I'm sorry I thought the point of this thread was to suggest our changes for next week. Why don't you reply with something constructive instead of childish? Like what you think monfries offers the side atm

With Gray out, Wingard playing more midfield time Gus had to play permanent forward. On top of this he mainly plays a role playing on the oppositions best defender. He's a vital cog in the team and is clearly best 22. I can't definitively say he's best 15 or anything but he's incredibly important. He won't be being dropped for Sam Gray who for the record can't play due to being a rookie.

Monfries played great against the Roos last week.

Anyway my changes would be Ah Chee for Gray, with Mitchell as Sub.

Np thats fair enough....

I think monfries adds more to our fwd line than what people give him credit for...

He makes things happen...especially when we are struggling to find an avenue to goal...

I hate his flops is i really do....but thats about it.

Thanks guys. Some good points. I won't be unhappy if gus plays and don't think he'll be dropped...I hope he's not dropped for Sam Gray. He probably does play an important role as the defensive forward and whoever he plays on he will have a big job to do. Hopefully he keeps his feet and hits the scoreboard

Surprised at the kindness being handed to Mitchell from some on here. We were all begging for him to be subbed off during the third quarter. Had a couple of highlights, but most of his kicks were helicopters that got more height than length, and ended up on the chest of a Hawthorn player.

Out: Mitchell
In: Gray
I don't know about dropping him, but just before he took that mark and then laid that tackle in the third quarter, I was yelling for him to be subbed off also. There were 3-4 consecutive plays before that time, where he botched up.

Still, he does do some good things and he is clearly more harshly criticized than other players who can go missing in matches because they don't have his work-rate.

The one thing that must be said, is that he is not quick. It's pretty noticeable that he is easily closed down when given the ball in space, and part of that is probably his slightly slow hand to foot coordination, with that awkward kicking style. Against a quick team like the Hawks it was noticeable after halftime.

I did think his tackling was very good on occasions though.

Also, on Monfries, he and Suckling cancelled each other out last night, which isn't a bad thing. He really did stop Suckling's drive out of defence. And as BMT said, he has a knack of making things happen, and is a tough match up.

If he goes out, Neade would come in. Some have forgotten how poor Neade was in the first two weeks.

Something must be wrong with me but I though Mitchell was decent :drunk:

Feel bad for Ah Chee but I think he will go straight out for Gray if fit.

If Gray isn't fit then no changes.

Mitchell sub pls

Yep agree , monfries to play negating role on smith and Cornes on Sloane.

I'm fairly keen to keep ahchee in as we need him in the centre. He has been quite good at the clearances in the patches I've seen, although port would no more about how ready he is and if he could sustain that for a full game.

I would keep Mitchell in. So it's hard who to drop. Agree Ild probably rest Polec if it would help. This would be a great game to bring in Moore in the middle , if only the maggot sanfl hadn't given him 3 games for something the ump didn't even notice

By the way , on that did anyone else see a hawk player run into an umpire and knock him down? I was straight outta my chair and screamed 'is he gonna get 3 weeks for that!' My gf told me to sit down lol.

Assuming Gray is ready to come back in Ah Chee is out (unfortunate... would love to see him play a full game - but will come soon for him)
I would have either Mitchell or White as sub

I would make sure the way we played the 1st qtr last night is how we play the whole game next week, and our second half is ommitted for good.

At the game last night. Talk about nervous. Mitchell was okay but his turnovers are too often and kill us. I think Ah Chee needs a full game. If Gray is fit in for Mitchell. White as sub. That forward line looked delicious last night.

Was Wingard injured last night? I noticed he didn't run during the warm up and looked a bit proppy in the second half. He seemed to be pointing towards his groin a bit.

Wingard looked flat and slow after half time, could barely walk let alone run, wonder what he is carrying?

Has been limping heavily after matches and quarter breaks. No where near 100%, it would be his knee.
