Allen has been surprisingly very good in the ruck. Beat bloody Goldstein a few times
OAllen is just turning into a bloody good footballer. Looking more and more a great pickup that should have gone a lot higher in the draft.

He makes a very capable pinch hitter ruck, he can take a decent mark, is good down low, makes a good contest, knows where to position himself and doesn't shirk the contest or the hard work. Those that keep calling for him to be dropped just don't watch what he does. He would walk into any team in the competition right now.

And he's only in his second year and only going to get better.

Yeah, Yeo got tagged in the GF and it limited his output. And what? We don't have control over whether the opposition tags Yeo or not. I'm not clear what point you're trying to make?

Also, to be clear, Yeo may well be used as a partial tagger/stopper at different stages of games. The reality, though, is that we're going to need a range of options, not least because it provides us the flexibility to release Yeo if we choose.
limited influence and off the chain are not the same thing

Our small forwards are frightening!JD is on fire! The Golden Child is a gun! JK meanwhile sits quietly down forward;Forgotten;washed up;yesterdays man: mwah hah ha!!!
and then he strikes...when you least expect it!!

* So what's the deal with Vardy - how did fall so far from grace (whoever she is?)-injuries? the weight of expectations? the weight of last years gold medal? He was damn good!

Ha ha ha we've named Cripps in the centre and Sheed at half forward, can you just IMAGINE the look on old Pykey's face when he notices that Sheed is in the middle and Cripps is up forward?

God, we're so sneaky sometimes. #bamboozled

AhChee and Rotham get an honourable mention? Arch hasn't been too flash in WAFL?
Which 4 are out - Waterman, Masto, Arch and Rotham?

Not sure we need to split hairs

I for one would have been happy taking him with our first pick if Brander wasnt there. Kid is going to be a star.

Agreed.

One is a phrase that describes how Yeo might be deployed. The other describes the effect if the opposition curtails him.

Again, what is your point?

We can't ban another team from tagging Yeo. We can only control how we deploy him.

At times he seriously moves like a midfielder. Doesn't have explosive pace, but seems to have a bit of time when he wins possession.

Pure footballer.

Doubt Cripps replaces Masto, I'd imagine it would be Waterman if the want to go smaller, or Petch/Cameron if they like having the taller forward line.

Hutchings could be a replacement for Masto. Masto's 4 weeks before last were good though so he might be safe.

Hutchings could also replace Petch/Cameron if he's to tag a HBF of any sort, but I can't see them wanting to lose the speed of the two small forwards for Hutch.

That forward line has so much X-factor and speed right now.

He could seriously end up being the steal of the draft. At the moment Kelly has had the most impact. But he was a mature player who was absolutely AFL ready, and therefore has less improvement left.

Guys like Raynor, Stephenson, Luke D-U and Naughton have been good to very good. But OA sits alongside those guys quite nicely. And they were long gone by our first pick.

And of the guys taken later, I think we really picked the eyes out with Ryan, Petrucelle, Ainsworth and Brayshaw. Maybe Constable or Worpel at Ainsworth's pick have been better, but that's about it.

If Cripps comes in, drop Cameron. I don’t think we need that many forwards. I think masto has been playing well last few weeks. More influential than Cameron.

Hugh Greenwood named for Adelaide so we’ll know tomorrow if we’ve won by whether they leave him out or not.
Lol, you will win comfortably regardless of whether Hugh plays or not.

Doubt we will get within 40 points as we are playing awful football since the bye.

Without sounding to confident it would be a great sight to see our young Cameron man up in defence on Eddie Betts at some stage.

He is a defensive forward / mid but the experience would be worth it not to mention the two of them fighting for a loose ball.
