I think you might be focusing too much on the 'owed' part of my comment... maybe I should rephrase it to say "I think morally we owe him an opportunity to regain his touch".

I remember hearing Mick Malthouse talking about knee recos after the Collingwood demolition of us (I think he was talking about Burns or Lockyer) and how he thinks with those types of injuries it takes players one season to get over it, then another season to build their confidence again. I tend to agree with that, and with that in mind and from how I have seen other players come back from the same injury I think Wojo is doing very well.

Apparently not. :S I also heard SEN give the teams and was definitely Batchelor.

Not sure why, though... it's not like either Koula or Prismall haven't been underperforming in the VFL, though Prismall only recently came back from injury.

Bottomline: he was tradeable before the knee, and he's tradeable now. Whether or not he is shopped around, traded or delisted is irrelevent, the underlying factor is that we can't afford to "reserve" a place for him on the proviso that we "owe" it to him.

I agree. But the 7 years under Thompson have taught us that he has faith in certain players far above what fans do - Gardiner, Kingsley, Kelly. I don't think Wocjinski is that bad at the moment, but absolutely he has to display consistent form for the remainder of the season. I've stated many times, look at the desperation of Stokes and Callan and compare it to Ling and Kelly. There's a massive difference between knowing you're the first one dropped and knowing you never will be. I'd love to think Kingsley won't play on Sunday, as Adelaide will exploit him as good sides always exploit weak links. But you watch - he'll play, get 3 possessions and kick 2 points. And Thompson will defend him, again.

surely it means that he is being delisted at years end, and if so, which of the 15 teams will fight for his signature?

hang on, i asked a valid question about where he is headed seeing as though you seem to have the inside track on all koula related news.

the season is getting older and when the likes of batchelor are pushing ahead of him obviously it doesnt look good.
