I agree our structure could look more formidable with Medhurst in.
If Travis Cloke continues to lead up the ground and present like he did yesterday and open space behind him for Medhurst and Rocca to lead and Didak drifting in and out of the forward 50.......exciting.
But lets face it........we should have kicked 18-20 goals yesterday.

We can't have Dick & Davis in the same team IMO. Davis deserves a rocket up his clacker for some ordinary performances, but I can also see justification in puberty (ie. dropping Dick).

it's going to very interesting in rnd 7 when Dutchy can come back. I don't think anyone should be dropped this week every1 was deserving. I think Toovey might be unluckily dropped for Meds (if fit) but hey I think his a future player with the retirements of Wakes and Presti coming soon. Leon is unfortunately a possibility to be dropped too.

I agree. If Egan can play well for Willy, I'd consider bringing him in for Dick.

Egan doesn't need to do anything at VFL level, just run hard, get involved get in the right spots. He is an outside midfielder and needs better players around him. Basically just show improvement on his deficiencies.

If Dick is to be dropped, Goldsack or Wellingham (rookie) should be promoted. Don't give Egan a game until he earns it with form.
Why would anyone consider bringing Egan in? He is a last resort option only, there for depth if we have 15 injuries, 20 injuries if some are serious enough for rookies to be elevated

Davis shouldn't be dropped...their is no reason to drop him because someone is on the sidelines. Medhurst should play, yes, but Dick, despite the enthusiasm he brings, is easily first to miss before Davis. As for Lonie...if he is to be bought back, Toovey is the man.

reasoning: we need some accuracy around goal and medders is pretty good, and also is capable of kicking bags. While I'm sure dick is as well, and i do like this kid as he has a go and is enthusiastic, im just concerned that sooner or later that 68kg frame of his will get crunched and set him back. And the fact that he is a newbie and will probably have quite a few quiet ones compared to huge ones. Other than that i really wouldnt change the list too much, it is bad to mess with a winning formula.

Cause he's dominating the VFL. He hasn't been elevated though.
How long do we say “if you don’t perform”? For Christsakes he’s been on the list for 7 years and played nothing but rare cameos aside from half a season of decent footy last year. He already hasn’t performed for longer than he should have been allowed to and longer than MM has allowed anyone else to in his entire coaching career. There is probably a reason for that but I’m not touching it.
Look, I would be delighted if he was not dropped and he performed and somehow developed some consistency, get a kick in the wet and play well in big pressure games but IMO it is well beyond hoping for that. He just isn’t good enough. If we can get a return in trade week we should jump at it. I would rather have the young Richard be ineffective and develop him than the get what you expect middle aged Davis.

If Egan can play well for Willy I’d consider telling him he’ll be picked if he does it again for a few weeks on the trot. Egan is not a senior AFL footballer at present. The recent introductions deserve a place ahead of Egan IMO.

Medders is better than Dick at the moment. He's got experience - he's a small leading forward - he's consistent. I would keep Leon Davis in the side because he can turn a match on its head and works hard off the ball to create opportunities.

Id drop Davis and Dick for Medhurs(assuming fit)and Egan.
Many may question egan coming in but I think long term he has alot more to offer. He came in after some indifferent form for willi last year and did very well. He might need a kick up the bum but he could simply be one of those players who lifts when he has good players around. We could still do with players with some pace and class and he fits that bill. And its not like we would be giving up any harda$$ players by droping dick and davis.
This would not be a kick up the butt for dick but simply a chance for him to go back and work on his game. He has shown glimpes and will be very good(should be anyway) but he is still very raw and he still needs time to develop his game IMO

Here's a bit of a werid suggestion. If you bring 30,000 mad Collingwood supporters to a Willy game, get them to create a similar atmosphere to a Collingwood match and Egan will kill it for Willy.
Heres a bit of a suggestion. Make Egan learn that he has to play his very best no matter whether he's in the VFL, AFL or Manangatang Thirds. If he wont learn he's out.
