You haven't noticed that about many of his possessions (talking generally. Not this game) are contested? Some of which nobody else in our team could pull off? Easily the smartest footballer in our team. Possessions when he's in the clear are laughable, but put him under heavy pressure and he'll get a quick kick out to a loose player that the rest of the team can only dream of doing.

Its not about possesions for me when referring to Simpson.....

His ability to tap the ball to team mates in the clear, extract the ball in tight, tackle, block and his leadership qualities around the ground is what makes him one of our better midfielders...

I believe Adams deserves his place back in the team. Dropped last week for a tall and by all reports responded well for Tassie on the weekend. Didnt do a hell of a lot wrong when he played in the firsts. If Adams is overlooked I think Thomas might need to get back in. This might sound stupid but I get the feeling that Thomas may be one of those guys that never tear up a reserves game but adds great value to the senior team. Im happy to promote him on the back of a couple of serviceable games in the twos.

Since Carlton lost Wells (and Goddard) I've been unable to watch North play most weeks as it hurts to see a talent that would of been ours play in another guernsey.

I'm just posting here to ask you guys how far away Gavin Uruqhart is for selection?

Has all the tool's, just needs to build up his body now. He would get mutilated in our current body on body game plan. Happy for him to play the year in the VFL, and look for some games next year, happy to be proven wrong though.

Love it, also lots of merit to Petrie going back and Watt out, especially if they are going to persist with Hale. We are suddenly looking tall and cumbersome compared to previous weeks, especially with Wells out. Hale and Hamish can swap forward and off the bench to create some mismatch. Bring in two speedsters or whoever has been ripping it up.

Wells should be the only out. Hale played his first game in 4 weeks so he was always going to be a bit rusty. He should be better for the run. Watt will stay in as well.
I'd replace Wells with Thomas and play both him and Campbell up the ground more often.

Has played backpocket, HBF and midfield from what I have seen.
Found a fair bit of the footy in the midfield in the VFL at the start of last year.


He is 187cm - so about Trotter and Riggio's height and has good skills.
Listed at best on for North Ballarat a couple of weeks ago and in the best again this past weekend.
