In: Nicholson, Morton

Out: Tapscott, Davey

Davey was killed by Carrazzo last year, and in terrible form. We're a bit gutless with these type of decisions though, so I fully expect him to be named, and it'll probably be Bate going out - however, I would also like to see Bate back at Casey as well. They're not going to pick 2 debutants in 1 game, so he'll probably get a reprieve.

Only out should be tapscott, with bennel to come in

With too many players already out we can't be dropping davey just yet, and we need a consistent line up for once, davey needs a new role though perhaps up forward kicking goals to get some confidence back or playing down back on one of Carltons quick forwards, same as bennel

Bate and newton should be given the next 2 weeks, they can't be in then out of the side every week, give the four games in a row to prove themselves and if they can't then put a line through there name for good

Judd and warnock both look unlikely to play Friday night so a bit of good news for us but I don't think anything can help us at the moment

Judd clear to play, Warnock probably won't.

Indeed, it won't happen because we would lose by 150 points. You need to let the players gel etc.

I am not going to argue though, it's not worth the time.
So you think dopey MacDonald and Carazzo's bitch are going to make that much of a difference? Don't care if we lose by 150 points if we find 1 kid that shows something it will be worth it, better than losing by 10 goals with a team containing soft ***** and VFL heroes.

I dont know about Bennell, really liked him but seems soft lately and doesnt get enough ball, one best in the VFL isnt enough for me.....same goes for Morton i want a few performances thanks

Bring in Nicholson for starters is on or close to par with Evans i reckon

Blease is also hard... has talent but im not sure if he has the form yet... the last few games were promising though... working both ways and using his pace well not just running because he was fast sort of thing

Then Strauss who was probably close before his minor injury...

Would drop Davey though, and tappy is out so that atleast two outs

Is Gawn at all ready?? he could be amazing in 2 years... just dont want him to do another major injury obviously, but at the same time Martin will be hurting in the ruck shortly

OUT:

Tapscott
Bate

IN:

Howe
Blease

Im a big fan of Matthew Bate, but id love to see Howe given a chance i think he along with Blease can add some real spark to our side.

In: Blease
Out Tapscott

for me blease comes in to play on one of the small Carlton forwards because we seriously need his pace and also some run out of the backline... his form has been improving so give him a chance... dam we are guna miss tappys ball use coming out of defensive 50..

If I was Bailey I'd be playing my strongest team this week and telling your boys its the biggest chance of a win for your next month.

Jamar out won't hurt you this week as Kreuzer is still out, and Warnock is likely to miss due to concussion. This means either Hampson or O'Hailpin will be playing 1st ruck!

My Blue-boys are at their most vulnerable now, and most of our supporters know it. IF Judd plays, he will be underdone. Curnow is still out with injury too. We're still missing our 1st choice CHB and CHF (Bower/Hendo), and it's a mystery to me where Houlihan and Lucas have been.

If Judd misses, the game could be closer than many on here expect!
Agree if Judd misses this game could be closer than most expect!

Carlton could of very easily lost three other games this season to Essendon,Adelaide & St.Kilda but alot will depend on the attitude of the Melbourne players & if they are prepared to fight it out from start to finish!

Dropping Davey would be monumentally stupid of us on a number of levels.

I'd prefer to keep Bate in the team as well, I think the persistence will pay off.

IN: Blease
OUT: Tapscott

Dropping Davey would be monumentally stupid of us on a number of levels.
Please explain.

Allowing a player to get away with being a soft **** is a great idea is it?
It not as if this is the first time he has been soft, he just took it to a whole new level on the weekend.

If I was Moloney I'd be pissed off at the double standards of this club.
Moloney celebrates a win for too long and gets immediately sacked from the leadership group while Davey breaks every rule in the book on the field against the Saints and gets a pat on the back, told better luck next time and possibly keeps his spot on the team. That is plain wrong!

We are a club more worried about our media image than our field image and if that's not going in the wrong direction I don't know what is.

I think Davey will end up like Yze playing his last 2 seasons in the VFL because we were too soft on him for far too long.

If we had a full list i think davey would be back in the magoos for sure....
But we need experienced players on the deck so i think he and bate will survive for another week..

This... Applies to Davey at least, if not the Master.

Would definitely rather he play for Casey first.

Round 11 ins vs Essendon will be awesome... Scully and Trengove.

MELBOURNE, May 24 AAP - Young Melbourne star Tom Scully will finally resume playing this weekend, raising hopes of an imminent return to the AFL.
The Demons rated the 2009 No.1 draft pick as a "test" in this week's injury list and football manager Chris Connolly confirmed Scully would play for Casey.
A persistent knee injury means Scully has not played since the pre-season.
"He'll play a certain amount of game time at Casey this week, that's the plan at this point," Connolly said.
"He'll have limited game time this week and we'll have a conservative approach to his reintroduction to the game.
"We're looking forward to him getting out there and I know he is."
It has been a frustrating few weeks for Scully, who has also been the subject of unconfirmed speculation that he will go to Greater Western Sydney at the end of the year.
While Scully must regain match fitness, he continues to impress the Demons with his professionalism and the 20-year-old is rated one of the fittest players at the club.
The midfielder starred in his debut season last year, earning a Rising Star nomination and playing 21 of 22 games.
"His attitude throughout this whole injury phase has just been 100 per cent class," Connolly said.
"There is just so much attention to detail and how he goes about his business.
"He's one bloke you know is going to tick every box and he's certainly done that, he should approach this week's game with a lot of confidence."
Connolly was asked how long the Demons thought it would take for Scully to return to the AFL, but he deferred that to coach Dean Bailey.
"They're questions you ask Dean, certainly physically he's been ticking all the boxes," Connolly said.
Small forward Austin Wonaeamirri could also return to the senior side this week from a minor knee injury.

and now for Friday night

Out -

Bate
Tapscott (inj)

In -

Howe
Blease

Davey will get a reprieve and may be used as sub.

I want to drop Newton but he did have some good patches the last 2 weeks and Gawn is not ready.

B - Bartram Warnock Rivers

HB - Evans Frawley MacDonald

C - Blease Jones Gysberts
'
HF - Petterd Watts Maric

F - Howe Jurrah Green

R - Martin Moloney Sylvia

I/C - Davey Newton Mckenzie Jetta

Scully be the secret weapon to be unleashed on Friday Night. Connelly is just trying to veer the Blues in the other direction, so they never see it coming! ;) LOL!

Out: Tapscott
In: MacDonald

A bit boring - but the smartest move for me.

Bate and Newton need a couple more games in a row - not that I think either will make it, I just dont like giving guys who have taken so long to earn a spot the boot after 2 bad games in a shit side.

And dropping Davey would not be productive at this point. We need defensive small forwards so give him that role if he needs to find form.
