Petracca for mine has been the biggest dissapointment of our season. Really hasn't show much improvement in his game at all. The whole side apart from Omac and Hogan seem to be sans confidence.

Yep, Jesse and OMac the only two who have shown actual improvement in 5 rounds. Could argue Max and maybe Salem have I ever so slightly but it's an indictment on the coaching staff that so many players are either stagnant with their progression or have gone backwards.

He marks the footy and is a reliable kick for goal and can crash a pack? The only other player we have that does that is doing it on the wing? Weids doesn't crash a pack and put his set shot on the full. I agree he needs time but we aren't rebuilding anymore. Well before last Sunday we weren't. Can't give blokes a run based on age and draft position. Especially given pedo has killed it at casey and weids hasn't

No point shuffling deck chairs - the players efforts were quite good last night I thought.

It was our lack of lateral spread running, and the intensity required to lock the ball forward for long periods without reward which hurt us. They are structural and tactical issues in my opinion.

well that's not true. Weids has been in good form at casey, that's why he was selected.

He played alright in the rort of coburg and was hardly sighted against Werribee. Weideman doesn't take contested marks at afl level and pedo does. If we are going to persist with hogan moving up the ground, we need a bloke we can kick long to inside 50. As long as McDonald is out of the side, pedo should 100% be playing. I agree it's not about competing this year, but we need to play finals to give our kids some exposure

I know we love pedo and I do too but Weideman was fine imo. Looks bigger, more aggressive and is probably our second best ruck right now.

Kent is an automatic out due to injury. Harmes I would drop also, he's been ordinary. If Garlett wasn't so unique he'd be in trouble also. I'd be tempted to go taller against Essendon at the back, either Frost or maybe even Petty.

I'd probably go:

Out: Kent (inj), Harmes, Stretch
In: Hannan, Fristch, Frost

Also Neal-Bullen looks lost right now. Not sure what's happened to him.

ANB is a nothing player, I don't care how hard you run when you have no impact when It's tough going. If I just want to sit there and watch someone just run, I'll watch a marathon.

With Kent injured I'd be keen to give Balic a game in his role? He didn't play VFL on the weekend so he'd be incredibly fresh. With a 1-year contract I'd be keen to get a look at him sooner rather than later.

Wouldn't mind seeing Baker at some point too... speed + run and carry would be nice.

I'd like Frost in but not at the expense of our forward pressure. Harmes while not in form led us in tackles. For me I'm not keen on all of OMac, Lever, Frost and Wagner in the same backline. If Frost comes in it'll be at the expense of Wagner but I think he's done enough to keep his spot

Hannan is similar to Garlett; can chalk up a few goals with half a sniff at goal. Would be interesting to see how he went without Garlett in the side so he could play a Predator-y role closer to goal.

Kicked the goals but not on effort. Has lost pace and doesn't look as interested. Been found out the last few weeks and exposed for his lack on intensity. Can't rely on cheapies every week.
