Smith named in front of Pedo is an absolute insult to not only Cam but the supporters. There is no justifying it. Pedo is a better forward and ruckman. Are we suddenly a development team rather than a finals aspirant or am i missing something?

Not sure why they named Spargo on the extended bench while also confirming his debut on Twitter etc. TMac a guaranteed in I reckon provided he's fit, which is huge. Will play a similar role to Trac I reckon, roaming forward with stints on ball. Jeffy out. Final bench likely Spargo, Fritsch, TMac, and Wagner.

Also huge red flag if Balic doesn't play VFL this weekend, for mine

I think Goodwin is up to something. It’s blatantly obvious to pick a guy that’s just kicked 5 in the VFL, and obvious to drop Harmes. Wonder what he is up to with this.

Probably persisting with the same 22 as much as possible and really backing Harmes to bounce back like Melksham.

T.Mac can just play off the bench in the 1s. play about 2/3rds of game time, probably mostly forward as its likely Hogan will go up around the ball more with petracca being out. can go back if bombers talls are getting on top.
good to see Spargo in for a debut to lift the teams spirits. no surprise after watching him play last week, he looked ready. they put a bit of physical pressure on him and he stood up to the heat. he even went in for a bit of push and shove with the oppo ruckman who was twice his size which was great to watch lol.
I don't think Bakers debut is that far away either if he keeps it up.

From what many of you are saying about those players in casey, the pressure is just ramping up and up to get into and stay in the first team. I really like that.

I agree, Pedo is a fill in for injures due to age. The others are the future of the club.

Makes no difference, surely? Exposing it to match work, whether at vfl or Afl level, is the danger. It’s either healed or it isn’t. It’s the players fitness you’d worry about, but shouldn’t be an issue with TMac.

Makes a difference though if he is done after 2 quarters. In VFL you might say bring him off - in AFL if the score line is close and he has had impact you might send him back on and cross your fingers that he will play through the pain in the hope of a win
