Perhaps Houston in for Pittard?

Seeing that key big forwards are as rare as rocking horse shit, its a good idea to at least check him out. Playing the role may also assist his developement as a CHBack. Personally I would like to get a half a season of AFL experience into him, but maybe they don't think hes part of the best side. We are a chance, regardless of the pessimism.
Please no!! I might take up ping pongDoogs would only be warming the chair for Lindsay Thomas in 2018. We all know it.

Give him a chance to shine against a shitty Brisbane and cement his place for the next month rather than bring in a youngster and allow him to gain some confidence against an inexperienced opponent on the big stage.
I might burn my underpants in protest
I am not going there.Manure at Alberton etc
The footage of HH corralling ATW instead of actually putting some physical pressure and presence on him is one of the softest things I have seen on a footy field. And then that chase. For this act alone I would drop him.
I didnt know it. The Lindsay Thomas that plays for North Melbourne who was once a Port junior. He would be a bit old to consider trading for our Dougle.Doogs would only be warming the chair for Lindsay Thomas in 2018. We all know it.
Monfries is another that just can't take a trick.
Absolutely. I agree with you. Plus i rate Doogs a little higher irrespective of age.
But Eddy only has this shot and sadly for him it looks like a one and done experiment for him, despite playing really good SANFL footy. I guess you've just got to take your chances when they present and he had a couple earlier in the year, but he needs to keep hammering goals at SANFL level and you never know, another chance may arise but looking more and more unlikely.
Is he capable of playing a high half forward role, like a Tom Lynch?
Ken has shown he will 'back the team in'. This is one bad performance in 11, even if we have lost 5 games now. The really frustrating part of that loss is that we don't have the wiggle room to rest players and debut others that we would have had if we had won. But oh well.
So what do we need? Pace, more outside/HFF class and to maybe send a message to some senior players.
Who should be on the line? Hartlett, Broadbent, Westhoff, Ah Chee, Toumpas, Pittard, Impey.
Realistically, the only ones from the above few who might come out and Ah Chee and Toumpas. So how do Howard or Eddy fit in to a line up with Trengove, Dixon, Westhoff and Ryder? Does Young get asked to back it up after one of the best SANFL performances for some time? Who on our list can provide pace and class? Strange to think that we really miss Amon and that the injuries to him, Monfries and AJ along with the decline of White have all managed to come at a terrible time. Do we upset a back six who has been the most frugal in the league? Is it worthwhile getting Atley or Drew to play the role of Ah Chee/S.Gray/Boak/Toumpas when both are midfielders and we have criticised the positioning of these four players because they are midfielders being played out of position?
Let's face it, we drafted hard for midfielders last year and the midfield has decided to stand up. We have been light on for outside class and a true small forward for several years now and these areas remain concerns. Is shuffling S.Gray for Neade going to achieve much? Do we have an outside mid capable of supporting Polec?
I would love for a statement to be made and for Pittard, Hartlett and Westhoff to be playing for the magpies whilst Doogs and some others get a run. Ain't going to happen though!
His stubbornness when it comes to selection and addressing problems like our forward 50 structure could well cost this club a premiership. This list has so much potential, but I don't think Ken can get the best out of them any more.I actually think Ken can coach, it's his selection policy I'm finding intolerable. It's his "faith in the group" that leads to results like the Essendon game, players safe in the knowledge that being a part of the inner circle guarantees them certain entitlements the outer circle guys don't get. Mark Williams created a culture like this and it tore the list apart over time.
I think HH is afraid to go hard at tackles for fear his shoulder wont stand up to a full extension tackle, in the same way that he doesn't ever hit a full tilt sprint because he's afraid of pinging his hammy.Actually noticed way too much corralling and I think it reflects a negative mindset. I think thats why we looked slow ...guarding space to prevent a player from running off us instead of attacking, pressing the ball carrier. DBJ was another culprit.
Choco went to the extremes of giving individuals absolute faith in their ability.I actually think Ken can coach, it's his selection policy I'm finding intolerable. Hartlett keeps his spot, Howard not promoted, Young in for presumably Toumpas or Ah Chee. 50/50 chance of a 2nd selection change after LOSING TO ESSENDON BY 70 ******* POINTS.
Toshiba handi-book here we come.
