Heaps of people here have an obssesion with the big stick..Johns.

So they won't like hearing that this guy needs to be dropped....before he costs us a game.

Three marks wasn't it? He's got no idea if you ask me. I really am lost for words with this player. There's only limited spots he can play in and he does nothing in all of them.

I'm almost tempted to bring KB back in....

All im going to say to this Nobby is it is imposible to get the whole picture of what goes on during th game by watching it on TV.
Johns does need to go back to Bendigo becasue his second efforts as far as leading goes havnt been good enough but we have also used him very poorly. Players kicked to Lucas 6 times with two players on him rather than kick to Johns who was clear on friday night. The fact we kicked to Lucas 27 times v 3 to Johns indicates we didnt try to use him.He is played way up the ground most of the time when his strength is leading from the aquare and marking. The few times we have used him like this he has looked ok.
He still has a way to go if he is going to make it but jeez it is hard to impress when you dont get the footy kicked near you or you are told to lead way out of the space to keep the forward line open.
By the way im pretty sure you will get your wish this week ;)

Why do people keep on insisting that Lovett-Murray should come straight back into the team? Obviously you guys (the people who keep naming NLM) don't read the injury report or the Bendigo match reports. I don't like taking shots at players or at other people on this forum as there's too much of that going but it's frustrating the hell out of me.

NLM has only played 1 game this season and that was Round 1. He's had a groin injury and which I'm sure he's aggrevated at least once since he first injured it.

We all talk about form and which in-form player should come into the side. NLM isn't one of them, why do people think he is? What evidence is there? How is it that he's in the top 5 or 6 players at the club that don't need to gain match fitness and true form in order to play in the seniors?

I feel your pain, i sometimes wonder why i put the effort in to share the info only to see people obviously cant read ...lol
At least there are a few people that can read :D

The same goes for Courtney Dempsey. I know how good this guy can be. I saw him kick that fantastic running goal against Sydney in that practice game at MC Labor Park last year.

He has a lot of talent but he's already proving to be injury prone. So when people say they want to see him come in this week or whatever week, they should look up the injury list first. He's still out for another week.

In : Lloyd, Bradley
Out : Laycock, Johns

Lloyds a gimme and maybe another big man in with more mobility. Bradley played really well against them as a forward last year so I'd give him another chance after two great games at VFL level.

Laycock and Johns need to get a good run in the VFL as it will be better for their long term development instead of playing cameos in the AFL.

i agree, laycock and johns both need to improve their fitness before returning to the AFL, bradley still scares me coming into the side, however if he is kept in the forward line for the entire match then i am happy if he returns. obviously has some forward line talent, has been good down there at AFL level in the past and has kicked 2 bags in the VFL the past 2 weeks down there. give him a whole match down there and if he doesnt show anything then leave him in the vfl for the rest of the year.

We can expect 2-3 changes according to Sheeds press conference.

Im gueiing the ins will be Campo, Bradley and Lloyd but hoping its not the case. Campo just isnt up to it and i'd let Bradley dominate at Bendigo for another week or 2.

read on BB that Lovett is injured at training today.

Hopefully ant can update when he knows more

Right leg , went down in a Campo tackle and didnt get up for a bit. Limped over and spoke to the Doc and Quinn then went inside. Guess we will se how serious it is later in the week.
On the surprise front NLM completed a full training run . Bit of a surprise really given there was no sight of him on Monday and he only got through a quarter and a bit on Sunday. Guess they where just overly cautious which has turned out to be a good thing.
Slatts and Lloyd should both be available this week.

In: Lloyd, Lonegon, NLM
Out: Laycock, Johns, Llovett (due to injury)

Interesting you want NLM in depsite the fact he has only played one quarter of footy since round 1 .

I'd rather have Slattery in than NLM.

If Lovett goes out its going to be interesting who they bring in...could Houli also be left out?

Their is no way Houli will be dropped after llast weeks performance. 8 kicks (we need midfielders that can kick), 7 handballs, 3 tackles, 2 marks and a goal. Great first game!!!!!!!!!!

If Lovett turns out injured, they might look at Houli and say"we need bigger bodies and more experience" to face the Brisbane MF.

I don't know,stuff it...just play him and Lonergan too!

Go for broke...

Houli already has a bigger body than Lovett anyway lol
Anyway from all reports Lovett will be ok.
