Dont underestimate Leppitsch and Mal.. i mean merrett and Roe.. They are pretty good

Cole wont be out of the side until both NLM and Welsh are fit.

i didn't think cole was too bad anyway. he showed some signs that he could be pretty good off the back flank.

as brisbane only have brown, charman and patful as marking targets is there a need to play laycock. paddy can go with charman whether it be in the ruck or forward line. mal will be on brown and fletch will enjoy playing on patful.

i wouldn't mind keeping johns in as we still don't really know whether or not the three big fellows can work together.

I think this week would be ideal for Hird to have a rest given his family situation. Although Cole doesnt particularly deserve another week, he will be kept in because of Welsh and NLM. Good to see that MJ and Monfries, the guys who I thought were under the pump, actually stepped up last week. Saved them from being dropped IMO.

If he played,the only stretching going on would be in the Lion HB's legs as they run away from him after another failed attempt by Johns to gather the ball....

I dont think Sam can't play back but i do belive they pick the side based on roles the players have been playing with Bendigo and Sam has been a half forward/midfielder. I couldnt see them picking Sam in Cole's spot when Sam hasnt played any footy for us as a backman.
