Completed my thoughts on changes!

IN: Dunn, Strauss, Clark (if fit)

OUT: Davey, Pedersen, Gawn (if Clark is fit)

FB: Terlich Frawley Garland
B: Dunn McDonald Strauss
C: Grimes Jones Trengove
F: Blease Watts Byrnes
FF: Howe Clark Tapscott
R: Jamar Sylvia McKenzie
Int: Bail M. Jones Evans
S: Rodan

I thought a fair few of our players without a lot of AFL experience really struggled to keep their intensity up in the conditions; Evans, Blease, Terlich

And some of the guys without great endurance as well: Rodan, Howe, Watts, Tapscott

Strauss and Dunn have to come in to help deal with the 'mosquito fleet'; Watts cannot play in the backline this week, unless we want to play him on blokes 15-20cm's shorter then him.

Gawn is stiff, but we can't kept going with him and Jamar in our forwardline - we're a man down when it comes to forward pressure and a lot of Brisbanes transition play came from that lack of forward pressure, which rolls on into lack of midfield pressure, etc.

Malthouse is going to out-coach the shit out of Neeld this week. I also feel a belting coming

Stiff with Gawn, but the reality is that with him up forward we're a man down when it comes to applying forward pressure - he's shown a bit in the seniors, but he should stay in the VFL until he can play first ruck.

I disagree with Gawn, he played up forward more so this week because we didn't have Clark or Dawes. With either or both of them back Gawn will spend more time in the ruck and less forward. I think he has shown some great signs in the last 2 weeks and was pivotal up forward and in the ruck last game against GWS. he should play as much AFL footy as he can this year.

Can I just add that he wasn't the most effective but Luke tapscott put himself through the wars today , throws himself into tackles and never scared to put his head in places .. If everyone went as hard at the footy as him out opposition would give up after half time .. Also loved his hit on zorko?

I think Gawn is better around the ground than Jamar. Gawn chased really hard yesterday.

Will be harsh if either of them get dropped, as I feel they've both been playing well these last two weeks.

That's all well and good, but with Clark looking likely to come in - one of Gawn and Jamar MUST go out otherwise we're down a runner.

And against a team with the midfield strength of Carlton we will lose by 120+

Bookmark it.

Would love to see Davey play a full game and show us what he's got and play Blease as the sub. Surely he can't blow himself up in one quarter.

Not necessarily. Sylvia?

Gibbs is out for the game

My first thought wasn't "great, gives us half a chance" but rather "damn, what will I do with my supercoach side this week?"

I have my priorities straight...

Haven't given outs much thought but as we seem to be rebuilding the rebuild, I would like to see us blood some likely types who are yet to get a run e.g. Kent, Taggart etc.
Lets see what the rest of the list can do.
Also would love to see us be able to set up as was envisioned when we got Dawes.

Here's how you decide the squad... I like to call it "Hands Up"
Neeld: 'Hands up if you want to belt the S**t out of Robinson'
First 22 up= Our team
Problem is i don't think we'll get close to 22 hands up.

Gawn has been great since coming into the seniors. If he is dropped for this match, I will shit on my membership card, light it on fire and put the ashes in an envelope marked "return to sender".

Then we drop Jamar and put Gawn up against Warnock?

What? Sylvia is already in the team...

I'm talking overall team balance.

It's only my opinion of course.

I know, I was joking. Was suggesting that Gawn and Sylvia provide the same amount of run.

Headed over to the Carlton board to see their perspective - bad idea.

I didn't reply or anything, but it kills me to see them talking (quite rightly) about percentage boosting, how shit we are, etc.
It will be a nice feeling if (when?) we can roll a real team who isn't expecting it (a la Essendon 2012) but an even nicer feeling will be when we're actually respected as a club again.

Only in dreams man.

We'll get there. Not for awhile though.
