Injured? Just turned it on
Deliberately smashed The Hoff in the head on a spoil. One that didn't have a lot in it beyond a 50 historically but going by the protect the head agenda he should get at least a week.

cannot believe how slow we looked agianst the suns

B: Morris Astbury Rance
HB: Vlastuin Chaplin Martin
C: Ellis Cotchin Grigg
HF: Knights Riewoldt Deledio
F: Griffiths Vickery S.Edwards
R: Hampson Thomas Conca
INT: Houli Foley Arnot
SUB: McDonough

In: Arnot Knights
Out: Newman Petterd

This is the side I'd take into round 2. Arnot gives us another hard at it midfielder which is something I think we missed last night without Jackson in the side. Knights gives us a creative HF who can float through the middle unlike Newman who seems to be nothing more than a permanent HF. I'd have Titch sit in the forward pocket at the feet of Griffiths and Vickery as his hands in close and evasiveness in traffic make him dangerous and he also knows how to add defensive pressure.

As much as people don't like the move of Dusty to HB I'd be persisting with it, for what I've seen of the move it straightens us up when we go through Dusty as he isn't the type of HB who takes the safe option out wide, instead going through the middle with high risk high reward movement of the ball.

With the F50 set up I'd have whoever gets Watson playing deep 1-1 and having the other 2 talls push up around the HF line. Watson is a young inexperienced defender at AFL level and could be exposed in that situation. BTW for those suggesting we drop Vickery it won't happen, especially when we're coming up a Carlton line up including Warnock and Kreuzer in the ruck.

Round 1, they set the example. He gets off and they will be saying it's ok to take your eyes off the ball and go for a players head.

Definitely gone. Now we just need Waite to do something stupid.

If Aaron Edwards gets a game I'll be disappointed. He should only play if Riewoldt can't.

Out: Petterd and probably Foley

In: King and Knights

Jackson may not be ready?

Probably depends on Jackson, 2 weeks is better than 1 to recover.

I like Newman but I'm just not sure if he has a position on our team that is actually going to contribute to use winning. He is no good up forward (except goal kicking) and down back I think Vlastuin has replaced him...
Petterd is in the same boat, no position, except he is useless and wasn't a former captain so I would just send him to the Magoo's
Foley wasn't as bad as some say but I think he needs to spend some time in the VFL to build his game back up but I don't think his goose is cooked.

We could drop Vickery, We could drop Ellis but I think I'll give them both a week to redeem themselves. Ellis will be sub, Vick will come off if shit.

Out: Newman (if Jackson is Fit), Petterd, Foley
In: Jackson, King, Knights.

Needs more Lloyd

OUT: Petterd, Foley
IN: Knights, Miles
SUB: Ellis

Let's hope we can rebound against the Blues, who just got ran over by the Power :footy:
Miles is rookie listed

If anyone at the RFC headquarters sees this please tell the match committee to do this:
In: Lloyd, Knights
Out: Foley, Petterd

Maybe Newman really isn't a forward...
Players to stop on their team: Gibbs, Mclean, Murphy and Daisy. We all know McLean will monster our team yet again and Curnow will give them some sort of spiritual lift.

Thomas on Murphy.
Someone's got to take care of Daisy and McLean.

Mick will no doubt try and put a wash cloth over Cotchin, that is when Deledio must carry the team on his back. Dusty must try and shake the tag if he does get tagged, if he gets over it then watch out, the BOSS is here to dominate. If not... GG.

Thought Carlton got exposed on the outside tonight, with Ellis, Grigg, Deledio, Houli, Cotch and Dusty running up the wings this is something we need to exploit, Ellis needs to bounce back. Dusty needs to play mid/fwd, rotates through the forward line with cotch and lids. Foley and newy both look past if for me, i'd like to see them go earn their spot in the team.

OUT: Newman, Foley
IN: Knights, Jackson (if fit)

B: Morris, Astbury, Rance
HB: Houli, Chaplin, Vlastuin
C: Grigg, Cotchin, Ellis
HF: Martin, Vickery, Deledio
F: S.Edwards, Reiwoldt, Griffiths
R: Hampson, Jackson, Thomas

INT: Conca, Knights, Petterd
SUB: McDonough

I think Gordon should replace Petterd or Newman, too good for VFL and should bring over what he learnt from the Swans.
