Not unless Otten tears it up and against Carlton i'd prefer we have someone like Hartigan who's a bit quicker.

No changes for me, Wright at the starting sub instead of Crouch.

This^^^^^

Swap Crouch for Wright.

That is all

I mentioned in another thread that Wright should get the green vest over Martin tonight (turned out neither got it.. but still) - Wright did nothing to suggest we think otherwise and think he should have a run in the SANFL - give Brodie a proper run (thank you for not giving him the bib) - bring in Grigg or Lyons,..

Couldn't agree more. Looked pretty good out their tonight. Didn't have great stats, but his gut running to help out in defense late in the last quarter was crucial. Give him a few more games and could be useful at the G next Sunday.
Ended up with 17 touches and 7 marks or something, pretty decent stats in the end.

I'm in the rutten played well camp. Looked slow sometimes but killed the ball when it mattered. Also looked through the corridor when he got the ball which gives us some variety over the frequent long and wide switch which we favor.
Rutten showed he is still our best defender (just over Talia) great game, was giving away a "whole head" to whoever the tall dude that was forward for the pies - made Truck look like a back pocket player.

Very harsh on Wright, folks.

This team deserves to be unchanged.
I didn't think Wright was terrible either. Did some handy things without being dominant. Great shepherding, blocks, etc.

Strange sort of game from Hartigan

Even considering the early bloopers he had 8-9 touches in the first qtr, for a big man he just gets his hands on the ball

I also think that Hartigan really complements Talia, Daniel can take the Cloke or Brown type of forward whilst Hartgan can go with the running / lead up KPF

Aslong as his fist hits the ball when handballing :p

Disagree.. love the truck but he was pushed under the ball a few times which isn't normal for him.. most of clokes ( talias opp) kicks were rubbish

Otten in for Hartigan, and either Lyons/Grigg for Wright.
Could Otten come in for Truck ( Providing he plays well in the reserves)?
That way we keep getting games in to Hartigan, Don't think for our future it would be a good idea to drop Hartigan, We are not going to win the flag this year so keep getting games in to Hartigan and make a decision at the end of the year on Hartigan.

Agree with Lyons/Grigg for Wright.

Although I though Hartigan had an average night, I still think there is enough up side to him to continue to allow him to develop and become a better footballer. Sometimes you need experience in high pressure situations on the football field before you start making the right decisions, you're only going to get that experience by playing and learning as you go.

Wright was subbed but it almost was a case of no one deserved to be subbed come early in the 4th Quarter. I didn't think anyone was playing badly at that point. I really liked Wright's efforts in the pressure situations, he was able to make solid contributions for the team with his pressure football. This doesn't always show up in the stats, but he did lay 5 tackles which is a quality number of tackles in any game.

Tex was clearly not at his best, which I think we all knew was going to be the case. I think his presence really helped out our other forwards, he just adds that intimidation factor for our forward line which was lacking without him. Although nothing would have been better then to see him kick a bag of goals and be the key reason for us winning tonight, the fact that he got a high intensity game under his belt coming back from that horrific knee injury is only a positive and can be built upon. He can continue to contribute his intimidation factor and forward line leadership for the next couple of games before we really need to worry what he's doing statistically. Sometimes taking the best defender, keeping the opposition defense accountable, giving an option and competing in contested situations can all add up to causing an opposition defensive unit to be good or average.

Charlie Cameron, drop him for Petrenko. You see me trolling, you hating. Nah, the kid was a star and if that's the sort of game he's bringing to the table every week we've found a real player here.

Unless they want to drop a Brodie Martin for Grigg, I don't see anything that needs changing against Carlton. Our three talls are going to be a massive headache to Carlton and as long as we play solid defense and play well in the midfield, we should win rather easily.

Agree on Wright - most disappointing part for me tonight was how often he seemed to lose one on one contests. May be an intensity thing or something... just kind of plodding along at the moment.

Pls give Lyons a go.

According to an article on AFL.com during the week, he's second at the club for pressure acts, so I don't think it's an intensity thing. I didn't think he was too bad tonight. Maybe I need to watch the replay.

Hartigan plays one shitty quarter and should automatically be dropped? Piss off... He was great after then and is easily in our best 6 defenders each week. Also talking about bringing Otten in for Hartigan is just stupid at this point in time. Give the kid game time while he's showing great signs and still getting the job done.

I'm in the keep the same 22 boat. Also loved how Martin wasn't the sub but I'd have to agree give Wrighty the green vest against Carlton.

Martin actually was pretty good gave us some run and carry but his decision not to hand the ball to tex on the 50m arc to allow him to slot the goal, and putting the ball out on the full was pretty bad. Would have lifted the whole team if tex kicked one but I guess we can save that one for next week

Well done on a great win last night. Was terrific to see you get the 4 points against the Pies in front of what looked an unbelievable crowd at Adelaide Oval. :thumbsu:

Casboult. immobile marking forward. Seems a fantastic match up to me

Just on this one, that's not really correct. Had you said "Casboult. One of the worst kicks you're ever likely to see at AFL level", you would have been spot on. Casboult has a glaring deficiency to his game, that being his kicking for goal, but immobile he most certainly is not. He actually has very good mobility for a player of his size.

only change to be Wright to sub.

Can't believe the Truck got to go camp have started up again...
he was solid, and Tahlia and Hartigan stand taller knowing the big man has their back.
Few words from Truck early and Hartigain stepped up.
He's the General back there.
Look at our defense last week compared to this week. HE STAYS!
