Out: White, Stewart, S. Gray,
In: Moore, Archy, Mitchell.
If either Trengrove or Ryder ready, straight in.

enjoyed watching Dougals debut today. In 6 weeks it might be Out: Schulz (or Westhoff), In: Howard.

Gray for Mitchell
White for Amon
Young for Moore (sub)
Stewart for inanimate Carbon rod that plays forward. But seriously, I got no clue. Maybe Trengove. Maybe a debutant. Maybe butch. Maybe make Moore and Ah Chee fight to the death at training as forwards to see who can pinch hit there.... loser is sub.

I don't get the logic behind playing Moore as the sub. You need these big bodied mids in the thick of the action when the game is at its hottest and both teams are wrestling for the ascendency. He has to start.
If Colquhoun must play it makes no sense to start him only to see his bantam sized body shoved around and pushed off the contest with monotonous regularity. He'd serve more purpose coming on against a tiring opposition. Our use of the sub has been generally abysmal this season.

I'd go with this. Controversial I know
Ryder for Lobbe
Moore for Hartlett
Neade for S Gray
Arch for Young
Trengove for Jonas

I'd you haven't noticed but our leaders aren't really delivering. There comes a time where swapping fringe players with other fringe players doesn't work.

No I think the fringe players need to be the ones who free up our leaders a little .
That's why Arch and Moore in for me and I'd leave in Clurey and Young too rather than bring in other fringe players to replace them .
I'd have Young playing more as an outside player , I don't really like him in the scrimmages , I'd prefer Arch there as a ball extractor and Moore as a blocker/tackler .

Someone has to go if Moore and Arch come in for say Gray and Stewart. Which one is playing small forward and which one decoy forward? Or are we flooding the midfield?

Do we really want a decoy forward . What I didn't like about Stewart was his inability to be part of a high skilled play , when it came to him too often he didn't move the ball on , AhChee could play that role better or Moore .
As for Sam Gray I thought he was the runner between the arcs like Mitchell plays when he's in the team . I thought he offered a bit around the packs , I'd give him another week unless Amon is fit because again Amon is more likely to be a part of a scoring chain .
Like the gentleman was saying we need players who don't *^#% up .
Young can play S. Grays role , I know he had a bad game but he's normally better than that and a genuine chance to make best 22 .

DID WE HAVE ALL THESE ****ING CHANGES WITH ROOKIES EACH WEEK WHEN WE WERE KICKING ASS LAST YEAR?!

FFS.

Now that I've calmed down...

OUT: White, Hoon, Young, Clurey, S. Gray, Stewart
IN: Trengove, Krak, O'Shea, Ah Chee, Mitchell, Amon

What are you doing up at this time bro?.......more selfies please :D

I'm feeling sorry for Ollie. He's doing too much of the heavy lifting in the contests, especially for such a young player. He needs more support (pun intended) otherwise it could take its toll. Moore and Ah Chee to come in for Young and S. Gray.

Don't know what's happened to Jonas. Even a strength has turned into a bit of a liability - one-to-one contests in a marking duel. Stevie J. out-marked him in the goal square Friday night and it's not hard to find other examples like that during the year. Do you drop him or keep hoping his form turns around. I think he might survive this week at Clurey's expense. But he must be running out of chances.

Mitchell will come in, but he's a lesser version of Sam Gray in that he can dominate at SANFL level, but is just too small to put up those sort of performances against AFL hardened bodies. If Mitchell comes in for Sam Gray it's an upgrade, but along the lines of being a kid and a bully saying he'll break your arm after school, then he only punches you in the nuts. It still an eye wateringly painful experience.
I am laughing with tears in my eyes.

Thank you Andre I was worried i wouldn't smile again this weekend. You are a wordsmith. I am still laughing.

I completely disagree with everyone's thoughts on this board that we need more inside players. If Hartlett, Wines, Boak, Ebert, Gray can't get it done we're ****ed. Our outside run is poor and without White, Cornes, Polec this week Colquoun must start.

Sub has to be able to start midfield to inject some fresh legs around the ball, they also have to be able to kick goals. Moore is not the greatest at this but as for this week he deserved a spot over Arch.

Moore is quicker than Colquhoun and has better run and carry.

Perhaps but after the PStew fiasco do you really want to select someone to play a role they haven't played since they were last in the AFL team?

And if it wasn't obvious on Friday night how undersized we are around the contest it never will be. But no, lets keep picking bantam weights.

Outside Gray and Colquhoun, who are we talking about? The next two skinniest blokes hardly got outbodied in Impey and Pittard(no matter how hard he tried). Colquhoun played well and structured up well(IMO) , he was basically the only bloke trying to get the running game going as opposed to just slap it on the boot wines.
