Minson out for mine. Wait till VFL game to choose an in.
I was shocked at how poor he was. He was hardly ever in the right position in offence or defence. The few times the ball was played through him, he slowed us down or cocked up the disposal. I was calling for the sub at half time he was so bad.

Can I suggest that Hamling because he played so much reserves footy that the majority of Cats fans would have no idea about him. Unlike us they have less interest in their twos.

Echo the sentiments of those saying no way Hamling goes out. He was great last night.

Tough to say. I think Dale probably needs to go back to the VFL for a few weeks. Not really a clear option after him. Ideally a tall, but not sure which one.

I don't think we need to bring in a ruckman for the Carlton game. They have Cameron Wood and an unfit Kreuzer. Roughead can play the mainstay ruck with Toyd and others relieving. Another big body in Crameri around the stoppages and forwardline while Gibbs is out.

In: Crameri, Daniel/Honeychurch (sub) - depending on who performs best today.
Out: Minson, Dale (rest - although I've been wrong about five weeks in a row with him)

Hamling was very effective at killing the high ball. Was one of our best.

Keen to see how the twos today.

J Grant got a bit of it and repeatedly sold us into trouble. Was great last week, but this week under pressure...hmmm he stays. I guess but for me he was one of our worst, and think his noggin is going to let us down in high pressure games.

Webb needs to play from the start or not at all. Tempted to drop him for Daniel just to keep rotating youth.

Minson interesting guess he stays, depends on Campbell and Cordy's form and whether we want to keep them I suppose. At some stage Campbell needs a run form permitting.

I'm not Hamling's hugest fan but he had a good game. So did Grant.
If Cordy has a good game he could push Minson out yet again, two average games in a row for Big Will since he had that monster game against GWS.

Got smashed by the Saints in most stats, and would've lost if they were more clinical with their inside 50s. Crameri will add some experience, muscle and hard running to the side, and Biggs, who's apparently in good form for Footscray, will win plenty of the ball, something we struggled with.

Dale is not up to the pace of AFL football yet. Does nice things, but not having enough of an impact to merit a spot over some of our reserve players. Grant works hard, but still not damaging enough with his disposal, and slows play down far too often.

Talia a straight swap for Hamling because he's a much better 1v1 defender. I'm open to Hamling being tried in the Josh Gibson role like he was in the NAB Cup, but as a Key-Defender, he lets his opponent get away from him too easily.

Lin Jong in his round 1-5 form would be fantastic right now, but he's been terrible ever since his injury. I'd be open to Campbell coming in for Minson (who was poor), but I don't think Beveridge rates him at all.

Why it hell would drop Grant he has been one our best players over the last 3 weeks.

Grant oyt? Sure his game wasn't as good as the previous week, but he was still better than others like Dickson and Stringer. No way do you drop him after one average game where the opposition locked it up into a slog.

Hope the blues bring back jones after he kicks a few against frankston. Hamling would be a great match up for him.

Knowing Jones he won't touch the ball again.

Overall echo the sentiments that we should probably wait for the vfl game before listing changes.

Just watching Kreuzer at the moment and I hope we stick with Minno. Kreuzer is a monster and is covering the ground well. Roughie to Casboult. I don't think Carlton is the team to drop Minson against. Or maybe I'm still suffering from PSD from the Cordy era....

Spoiling high balls is the easy part. He also let Josh Bruce run off him far too easily. Re-watch Bruce's first and third goals, and the one he set up for Weller- Hamling is nowhere near him.

I'm not saying he's been bad, but he's not playing at the level Talia was when he was in the side.

You mean the same Talia that had 3 bags of goals kicked on him this season and got beat up by a 2nd year forward in Hogan? He's out of form. Hamling is yet to have a bag kicked on him and he played well against St Kilda. Why should we be dropping in form players for out of form players???

Can't see either Cordy or Campbell replacing Minson after today's VFL. Hrovat had a huge game but I'm not really for the bouncing up and down. CD has to be very close! Not really sure what changes to make, I hope we only go in with two first year players.
Don't think we have to worry about it being a grind next week. The way Carlton are playing should mean fast footy. Their midfield/forward line has improved with the new style, their backline is very, very iffy.

Carlton playing a very different style to the Saints though. They are attacking and heavily running forward, the Saints were not.

We will no doubt need to be on our game but there will be opportunity to get the blues out the back.

Went today to see Cordy do well and came away with the same question. Maybe Jack needs another good performance but his repeated leads and efforts provide a different look to a forward line which is tall and trying to mark long bombs - Toyd and Ayce combo.

That's all I would do at the moment but very tempting to drop Minson and bring in Redpath after todays game but at the same time I feel Minson could murder Wood. Hrovat pretty good in the 2's today also but would like to see it backed up before coming back in.
