Amazed how many people want to bring in a out of form Crameri. He's been decidedly average most of this year. He should stay in the VFL untill he proves himself, doesn't sound like he did today.

He's a mature body with a lot more experience. Dale will have his chance. We need to beat Carlton at all costs.

I probably go CD for BD and Big Red for Big Will with Tommy spelling Roughy in the Ruck.
Disagree with rucks. This week I could see Rough playing back on Casboult or Kruezer. Fairly beastly fwd line the blues have. Agree with BD for CD. Maybe Crameri for Webb.

I like this idea but I don't know if it is in Bevs style to change his structures hugely.

I like the idea though, and it worked against Tippett v the Swans. Roughead can just follow Kruezer everywhere. I fear Casboult and Henderson will be too physically strong for Hamling though, need Talia back for sure.

Think Rough's role is big man gap filla, he plays where he is needed and that is Bev's structure IMO

Crameri for Dale is the obvious change. I wouldn't be dropping Minson with the talls that Carlton have, but I'm not sure I'd be bringing in Redpath either. Might leave us a runner short. Webb for Daniel perhaps... but not sure any other changes are needed.

As others have said the only change I would do would be:
In - Crameri
Out - Dale

Dale been pretty flat the last few weeks for me and needs some time in the magoos. I think if we bring what we did on Saturday night we will lose to the Blues, they are playing pretty good footy at the moment. Wouldn't change the back 6 at the moment as it is keeping us in games and been working beautifully.

Think Bevo has been pretty strong on rewarding form. Moz the only exception I can think of to that.

In Daniel
Out Dale

Boyd gets a rest after we get past Blues and Suns.

I admit it was a tough game to see who was good in from the stands because you can't make out as much in scrums (hence why my favourites from the game were players that got themselves into the clear) but I didn't think Dale was bad? Did I miss something? I saw him lose a contest to roberton which hurt

Out: Minson
In: Redpath

Am less of a fan of Minson each week. His deficincies were partially hidden under BMac because our slow play suited his grunt effort. Now we need precision and speed of thought but when we're under pressure he's a liability, he blindly kicks or handballs droopy passes nowhere in particular.

Roughhead to ruck & roam with Redpath and Toyd sharing the load and the forward line and ruckwork.

I'm not saying that Redpath deserves to be in on form, merely that he'll offer similar aggression to Minson with more strings to his bow.

Daniel will get his chance soon, not bothered if it's this week or when the injuries stack up.

You mean the same Talia that had 3 bags of goals kicked on him this season and got beat up by a 2nd year forward in Hogan? He's out of form. Hamling is yet to have a bag kicked on him and he played well against St Kilda. Why should we be dropping in form players for out of form players???
What's a bag? 3 goals and a few assists by Bruce looks like a "bag" to me.

Talia has had by far the harder opponents than Hamling so far this season, which is the result of playing far stronger teams earlier on, so that's one reason why he's probably had more "bags" kicked on him.

I already explained why I prefer Hamling dropped; he lets his man get away from him too easily. Josh Bruce's third goal was the result of terrible defending and nearly cost us the game. Again, as I already said, I can't say much for Talia's VFL form, so make of that what you will, but based solely on what he'd produced at AFL level this year, he's the better defender, and gives us a better chance of winning.
Why it hell would drop Grant he has been one our best players over the last 3 weeks.
Comprehension problem? Re-read the OP.

A bit like Hrovat the week before for me. Wasn't terrible, kicked a nice one but probably the 22nd most influential on the day. Daniel is screaming for his shot down in the 2's and I don't think it hurts to rotate some of the younger blokes.

I want manic forward pressure this week. Do that, and we should win. Carlton without Gibbs and judd - no excuses.

So for mine:

Out - Minson
In - Crameri

Out - Dale
In - honeychurch

Go small and swarm.

Notice there aren't many calls for Grant to be dropped. Thought he missed way too many targets this week.

I'd be more surprised people want Grant out.

Has played 2 of his better games for the club and showing great improvement so we reward him with another stint in the VFL?
Would do wonders for his confidence.

Grant has shown continual improvement and while that's happening at his age he continues to play 1s footy.

It was definitely his worst game for the last few weeks. Panicked a lot after the first quarter when he had the ball.
But I think it's best to keep him in. He's built some pretty good form lately.

As long as Grant's work rate remains good then he continues to get a game. We know his disposal is good at times think he just made a couple of decisions.

His possession numbers are up though averaging around 20 this past month. Plus his closing speed is an asset at keeping our zone in check and running down opponents.

This x 2
Honeychurch has to come in.
