I tell you who he would take the pressure off, and that's Ibbo! He is struggling with this fast ball movement. The trouble is I don't see another role for Ibbo so it would have to be Hughes or Ibbo but not both.

Yeah I get where you are coming from. Ibbo is a bit off so far this season. But he's still our best intercept marker. Despite the problems I still think our team is better with Ibbo in it, so would play Hughes and Ibbo together personally - at least for the moment. If Hughes takes the pressure off Ibbo then maybe that might help Ibbo get his bearings and elite (or at least close to) kicking back in swing. Ibbo had so much impact on our games last year - we need to back him to get back to form.

The worse I see Sheridan play, waiting for deliberate out where the ball is so far away from being out.in the end NB player get a touch and result in throw in.

Was there and agree. His offensive kicking from the backline wasn't great either and he's normally the architect of our backline ball movement.

He was beaten twice by Swallow. Just commenting that he has lost a yard and may only have 1 more year left in him.

I just don't get it. Even the Brendan Fewsters and Andrew Brownes of the world didn't have as big a gap between their WAFL and AFL performances. How can a guy go from getting 34 disposals and 2 goals in the WAFL to getting just 9 disposals in the AFL?

Playing a completely different role would be the main reason.

Called it in preseason...Cam is questionable 1on1 in defence & his kicking is off. Needs a spell in the WAFL...
Danyle...already shared my thoughts. Meant to be one of our better kicks and runners but didn't provide either tonight.
Suban...didn't see much of him either. At least I didn't see him get pinged for holding the ball which I personally think is one of his common traits.

Regarding...
Mayne...some silly errors but was better tonight. Kicked a set shot! Great seeing the boys get around him after the goal. Obviously know how under the pump he's been with his goal kicking

Then blakely , Tucker , croz,grey ,collins,Ethan all need to be considered. Stop worry about their disposal and pump game into them , the most we can draft is three or four pick next year anywhere.

He's played 34 games. Hardly just bringing him in. Down the road McGovern has played 37 and he seems to go OK. He's done. Tucker IN

34 games over 4 and a bit years, half of them as sub, and with no continuity. And a lot at odds with the HFF role he seemed to play as a kid.

I'm not saying he is going to make it, but it wouldn't hurt to actually give him a decent run and see what happens. Back in 2014 he managed to string 5-6 games in a row early and got 12-13 touches every game. Then disappeared from the side for a while. A dozen touches isn't great, but it's OK for a kid (look at what Weller is producing) ... and if you extrapolate that over two more years with proper development, who knows where he'd be now?

And yes, bring Tucker in ... But the outs should start with the older plodders first. It's not like Suban or Pearce actually provided us with something better than Crozier. They were all equally shit. But only one of them could maybe improve and offer upside from current output.

Crozier and Taberner have to stay in otherwise there's no point in selecting them in the first place. Langdon and Weller have been persevered with despite average performances in the first 3 rounds, today it finally started to click for them and they added a whole new dimension to our team.

Give Crozier one game then dropping him is nuts.
Tabs allowed Pav and Fyfe to rotate. That worked very well.
Next week Tabs may kick a couple.

Tucker for Suban?
Mundy for Barlow.

I'm not so sure Croz can play , 30 odd games in 4 years and hasn't taken any by the scruff of the neck. The calls to replace him for Mayne have been fanciful to say the least. Time to bring Collins in,Pearce back to the forward half and Ross did say Clark would be ready. Mora is a no brainer but they will sit on him for a few more at Peel.

Pearce is a CHB. Not a forward.

Develop him as a CHB. He has AA potential in the position. Build the new backline around him
Mayne has been utter dog shit for 2 years. Crozier: in two weeks, out two, in one, out 5. Play the kid for a good stint

Gotta give the likes of Tab, Croz etc a little while or it's just not gonna help.
Pick them on merit and consistency in the WAFL and give them an actual crack.
I'm not really a Tabs or Croz fan but if you just drop them after a week, it won't help them at all.
Suban seriously needs to ****ing go, I really do like Lyon but how this guy plays ordinary most of the time and gets games is beyond me.

Agree with the calls of AP to be played just in defence and maybe some stints in the ruck if necessary.

Whilst Mayne had a much better game he needs to be chopped.

He is not the future of the club as his decision making is painfully slow and will be back missing easy shots.

Fyfe should be made permanent forward as have no one there other than Pav who can score. Sure it will cost him another Brownlow but we need goals.
