Few getting a bit ahead of themselves I reckon. The blues will come out hard against us given what happened yesterday. Kreuzer is a good match for Grundy and Curnow inevitably shuts out Treloar. We still hold a considerable advantage with Adams, Sidebottom and Pendles in the midfield against Cripps, but they have to go out and actually do it.

I can see a frustrating game which we struggle to get on top of and run out 5-6 goal winners in the end. Bolton won't allow a free flowing game, it will be defend, defend, defend for them.

These are the games we need guys like Mayne, Daicos and Greenwood to step up. The last three guys picked need to play like they could be dropped next week.

In: Varcoe, Reid
Out: Wells, Mihocek.

That's what i think they'll do, but Id like to see Mihocek given another chance.

Agree with most of that....which leaves DeGoey to get 50 possessions and 13 goals.

Would be nice to see one of McLarty, Sier or Wills debut or Murray/Appelby/Brown return.

Must get games into these guys.
Winning each week is what matters. We are in the mix right now-why risk weakening the team for a future when the present is rich with potential?

Exactly. Pick the best side every week.

I think you right, this will be one of those games in which we struggle to put them away because their game plan will be built around minimising the damage... I’d like to see Reid earn his spot in the team rather than be given a free pass based on performance several seasons ago... for the time being leave Mihocek where he is..

This is what you'd expect, and I desperately hope our boys don't rest on their laurels at all after the euphoria of the winning the way we did against the Demons. It's a critical game, and one we must not lose.

Any time the majority of supporters chalk up a win before the game even starts , experience tells me to be worried

Surely not though.........

There's a lot of risk in this game for Bolton. Follow up last weeks effort with a spanking by Collingwood and Bolton can just about kiss the job good bye. I agree they'll set up defensively to stop that happening. That said Freo tried the same and it didn't make much difference so lets see what pans out.

I think we should replace Wells with a kid. Reid and Varcoe should come back through the 2s if fit. Gives a kid experience and allows veterans to build match fitness over a few weeks in an environment where their game time can be more flexibly managed.

Like to see Sier get a run personally.

Really hate coming up against teams that get hammered in the media because of their efforts the previous rounds. Add the apprehension I always feel playing Carlton and I for 1 won't be taking this game lightly.

Agree, Sier or Brown. Or even Wills.

Death, taxes and a win on Sunday.

Let's get real people. Carlton is the worst side to play AFL football professionally since Fitzroy. They're an embarrassment to the competition and to themselves.

Want to know why the game hasn't been as 'attractive' this season? It's not because how it's played, it's because each and every week, we're watching about five teams who are dead-set horrific trying to play it.

Carlton has one win at the bye. St Kilda two. Gold Coast is a basket case. The Dogs have gone backwards. Brisbane is being lauded for how great they've been to win one game.

Do I want Carlton to improve to improve the depth of the competition? No, I hope they're shit forever.

In: Wills, Sier, C. Brown, J. Blair
Out: Wells

Bolton will execute Noah's Ark-level flooding, we'll have a few moments of joy, a few moments of frustration and win somewhere within the 48-82 range.

Carlton will flood, nothing more certain. Under those conditions skill - to a large extent - goes out the window.

Bring in the bear, have Adams and DeGoo in the middle with Sier hunting tackles.

There is only one way to break flooding and niggling tactics - sheer physical intimidation.

Make this pretend AFL football club hear footsteps every time they go near the ball.

Feel like every week we say it's a critical game to win

Not asking to weaken the side, just asking to continue to slowly blood the youngsters like we have with Stevo, Murray, Apples and Mio as well as give Daics and Brown a kick.

Furthermore it is important to continue to do this with McLarty, Sier and Wills.

Did you say that in 2010 when Blair Maccaffer Dawes Brown and Reid progressively took the place of Lockyer Medhurst Presti O'Bree and Fraser?
