Can Daisy start for Carlton, stink it up, make a half time speech confessing his allegiance to us, come out a half time for us and kick 6 and have 35.

Polar Bear

Let it be so. Ready to eat the bloose carcass

Looks possible for Sier to come in. Be the perfect game for him Cripps being carltons only big mid Sier will have a good feel of the game, although Carlton being just a slight step up from VFL level

Oh silly me, here I was thinking the reason you have depth is so that you can play them when preferred options aren't available.

We have better options than Blair.

1. Brown is a better like for like option
2. Sier or Wills are better midfield options (swing another mid forward to the role Wells has held for the past two weeks)
3. Appleby or Murray are better defensive options (swing Maynard or Greenwood upfield)

Blair will be servicable if he comes in (gotta love him, he never gives up) but the others have actual upside and in most cases form that is the equal if not better than Blairs.

You are welcome to simply disagree with me rather than be snide and sarcastic.

IN: Brown
OUT: Wells
With Daicos taking Wells’ role forward and Brown taking Daics’ rotations off the wing and half forward.

I don’t agree with the calls to have Sier in. On paper he deserves a game but he plays as a pure inside mid and we’ve only just found a winning formula there on queens bday with the primary trio of Pendles Adams and De Goey (which I’ve been calling for a long time) and Treloar/Sidey as second in line.

Changes shouldn’t affect our ability to win anyway and I’m sure Sier would do well in the game but we should use this game to continue building chemistry for the rest of the year and continuity in roles is going to be key.

Otherwise recall a defender in Appleby or Murray and release Maynard to the wing, which would work too as my sense is that’s where we’d want Maynard at the pointy end of the season.

The cupboard is fairly empty at VFL level due to our injury list. It should become much more interesting when Moore, Varcoe, Reid and Elliott start pushing for selection.

I'd love to see Sier debut, but I reckon the more likely change will be Cal Brown in for Wells. I wouldn't bring back Blair as I think it is an opportunity for a younger player. Blair should only be an absolute emergency call up from now on.

While I agree that it would be nice to keep it settled, when else is a good time to debut Sier?
He's going to be important depth later this year, because I don't have much faith that our injury list will shrink. So I think he'll need to get a taste for it sooner rather than later.

They know what Brown can do, they've seen it already. Against Carlton, ideal time to see what Sier can do...

Why are people still doubting De Goey staying?

Because he has Not Re-Signed Officially and it's not done until he Officially puts Pen to paper
