While I agree that it would be nice to keep it settled, when else is a good time to debut Sier?
He's going to be important depth later this year, because I don't have much faith that our injury list will shrink. So I think he'll need to get a taste for it sooner rather than later.
Byron Pickett?Carlton board has a bit of discussion going on the merits of bringing in Pickett after just one VFL game, in which he gathered all of four possessions.
If we don't destroy them at a molecular level this week it will be a failure.

They built continuity into their 22 and right now we’ve got that.
Byron Pickett?
We have better options than Blair.
1. Brown is a better like for like option
2. Sier or Wills are better midfield options (swing another mid forward to the role Wells has held for the past two weeks)
3. Appleby or Murray are better defensive options (swing Maynard or Greenwood upfield)
Blair will be servicable if he comes in (gotta love him, he never gives up) but the others have actual upside and in most cases form that is the equal if not better than Blairs.
You are welcome to simply disagree with me rather than be snide and sarcastic.
The more I see in recent days, the more I think half measures are not good enough.
This morning, I saw a crow circle my car three times from the left. And last night, a bittong asked me directions to the nearest Beer, Wine and Spirits outlet and advice on choices of personal lubricant. Of course that may have been influenced by the thirteen tequilas and indeterminate Jagerbombs I had consumed. Finally, Duncan's horses did turn wild and break out of their stalls, a thing most passing strange given we had been playing canasta only moments before and discussing carrot futures. They claimed I farted, but they would, wouldnt they.
Omens, Auguries and Portents dire my friends. And it can be no coincidence that we are rapidly approaching the Solstice, I time most portentous and significant in pagan religions. Pagan...
I fear my friends. Domus' thread has me thinking, and I know now I fear. What if the winter never ends? Winter is coming, and there are no dragons to save us from the terrors of the threat from beyond the wall that would cleave your very tongue to the top of your mouth in fear which is like how it feels the morning after those Jagerbombs but markedly less vomity. We are not Melbourne supporters who flee to the mountains and embrace the coming darkness as an opportunity to put chains on the range rover and feel like they actually have testicles for a brief, golden moment as they go off piste and break an ankle.
The threat, is ponies. And the signs are clear: Carlton are their messenger. Pagan...it all comes back to Pagan, as any Carlton supporter will tell you as they curl up, broken and bereft to keen away their lost decades of undiluted shitness in some dire stable, lamenting the whole Mick Martyn debacle and the aftermath of the O'Reilly shitstorm and covering themselves in faeces in some atavistic otherkin bonding with the spirit of John Elliott and his ken.
Did you know that Carlton, in old Saxon, means hole filled with shit? No? Well it damn well should...
At this time, as the light retreats from the world, seemingly never to return, how can we fight such forces of darkness as ponies and Carlton in one? There is only one right answer, one the followers of Pagan would understand.
Burn them all on a pyre to appease the all powerful divinities.
The torching starts this weekend, and who better to initiate such a rite than a S(i)eer?
Bring matches. And prepare to point and laugh. Or they will come...
I think I would like to see you make a special submission before the match committee.
If i'm right about Blair its time for goat entrails and a wicker man so that would make sense.
Sneaking a look into Buck's office like:He's coming to get you Cripps! In and under!!!

Correct and we don't know if there is a ridiculous offer out there.Because he has Not Re-Signed Officially and it's not done until he Officially puts Pen to paper

Hold Cripps and they have nothing, I hope Bucks does not get arrogant and just lets him run. We need to treat this as if they are actually in contention as we should every game.Additions for squad:
IN: Applelby, Sier, Brown, Murray, Wills (only 1 to be in the final 22)
OUT: Wells
I’m going for Appleby...release Greenwood to sit on Cripps.

Lose this an I will have every Carlton supporter I have ever known wanting to speak with me. Who needs that!!
Pendlebury tagged Cripps last time we played themWe havent put a hard tag on anybody all year. Why start now?

He's apparently done a 'string. No Blairy. Too bad, so sad...
