Nelson played the tagging roll on Zeibal I thought. Stays in with Hutch to gain fitness in the WAFL and force him out. Very solid game.

Yes, I like Nelson in - has been good, and has a few different strings to his bow.

Ah Chee is a good bet at full fitness, but might need a stint in the WAFL after his injury.

Still I'd take him over Waterman in that roaming role. Waterman doesn't seem to be suited for it. Just holding it for now but maybe Brander could have a game at home (crazy thought). Cripps in a few weeks will probably slot back in and then things get interesting.

Can someone tell me why we shouldn't drop Waterman?

I think it's good to reward WAFL form, but Waterman plays two different roles across AFL and WAFL so it's hard for him.

I'm not an advocate for him being in the team as I don't like his field kicking but I assume the coaches know he works hard, does the team things and in theory can bob up and kick goals, maybe even a contested mark or two if he's on.

However he's the most likely out.

While Darling and Kennedy are resting deeper, Waterman will bust his guts making dummy leads and drawing his man out of dangerous space.

I think you may be on the money here. Maybe get hutch to tag a hbf (simpson?) Rather than a mid, therefore bringing him in as a forward.

Watson stays in to get some more experience at a better level , sure he made a few positional errors but is a good learning curve for him plus it didn`t affect the result ..
