Changes vs Carlton

Blues fans are certainly chirpy
Give it to them.

Been a long time since they won 3 in a row.

Just like Norf, we’ll give them a little what for

I don’t mind the Blue Baggers. Think it’ll be a ripping contest
Absolutely- Teague has them playing good football.

We have to be tight down back - McKay worries me a little tbh

But I think we’ll come to play.

I think your right.

Simmos did say he mentioned percentage in yesterdays game so i think we will be putting teams to the sword if opportunity presents.

In: Hurn
Out: Watson
Hutchings might need a week at WAFL but if not he can come in to try and tag Cripps or Murphy. Maybe Cameron for Hutchings but that makes us too defensive. I think Nelson keeps his spot and Hutchings will either be back next week or play WAFL. Thursday will be interesting.

Seriously man, do you ever think the Eagles could win a game of footy? It's fu**en tedious.
Theres glass half empty

And then theres someone took a dump in my glass

Then theres him.

Get Sneeze to shadow Yeo at training this week and then get him in the side to tag Cripps. Kinda like Silvagni against Fyfe.

Out: Waterman, Watson
In: Ah Chee, Hurn
Sneezes big knock is his lack of reapeat efforts and defensive.running. Giving him a week to turn into a targger to run with one of the best players in the comp while we have 2 proven taggers seems a little like shoehorning a round peg onto a square hole.

I love Ryan but does he do enough over four quarters?
I think he does as much if not more then Rioli. And definitely does more then petrol and Cameron. Only thing he needs to work on is his set shots and easy shots at goals he seems to miss a lot. A lot less selfish then Rioli, petch and Cameron aswell

Cameron 0 goals and 12 possessions total over last 2 weeks. Great start to his career, had a real taste, but time to go back to the WAFL.
Watson for Hurn, straight swap. No slight on Watson.

Waterman probably not best 22 just yet. Unlikely to see 3 changes after an 8 goal win, plus nobody in the WAFL demanding selection.

Also not convinced Nelson & Hutch should be in the same side. One or the other as a tagger.

Yep agree on this. Once Hutch comes in ( after a week of WAFL IMO) Nelson goes back until Duggan replaces him, assuming no other injuries.

The good thing about Nelson and Hutchings is that we know they can offer a bit of flexibility, back and forward respectively. Having either of them in the team on a flank allows us a bit more flexibility in the midfield if matchups aren't working like they should.

For this reason, I'd be pretty happy having both of them in the team with specific roles in mind. It offers a lot of flexibility for the coaches to switch things up.

Cameron needs to be sent back to the Wafl but will have to wait until Cripps is back. Unless they want to use Hutch as a defensive forward. We have no one else left in the small forward basket.

Hurn for Watson the only change

I disagree. I've been a huge critic of Hutch on here but have come around on him a bit lately. That said he's in the side for his tagging and he's not great when he's left on a flank or in the middle. When he's in the middle, we have too many plodders (Sheed/Redden/Masto).

Thought he was average when he tried playing Masto's role earlier in the year.

Yeah, I don't want him as a prime mover. But I don't mind him at all as an accountable forward who can push up the ground, links up well enough - kicks best when he's closer to goal. And having the option to go a hard tag is great, cos he's one of the best in the business at that.

No doubt he still has his limitations. But he's proven to me at least that he knows what they are, and can work within them most of the time.

Reckon he will come in for Waterman.

Especially with the matchups this week. Simpson is in the top 2 or 3 for the blues.

Stopping him would go a long way towards a win.
