Opinion Changes vs Carlton

I guess if you just make up your own stats, anything is possible

Marshall has 7.1 effective disposals and 5.2 effective kicks (more than Dixon or Georgiades) per game this season

Are these numbers adjusted for the game he got KO’d in after a few minutes, because if not they’d be higher still.

5.2 effective kicks are genuinely elite numbers for a key forward. If you remove the Geelong game where he got KO'd in the first 5 minutes, he'd be =7th in the league for average effective kicks per game among key forwards.

If Dixon needs a rest, this is the week to do it, but we'll need to really be on without him, he's so important to how we play.

Powell-Pepper has been named among the emergencies along with Sam Mayes, Jarrod Lienert and Steven Motlop – who is returning after ankle surgery.

Interesting. If we're going with the quadrangle against Carlton, you'd think that's the plan for finals. With SPP out to allow that to happen, not sure who comes out for Motlop next week. Bonner maybe, as we still look a defender too many if Houston and Bergman are primarily playing back.

McKenzie out isn't ideal, but Clurey was looking good pre-injury.

So we drop SPP and go back to the tall quartet.

Hopefully McKenzie is alright but Clurey is an excellent replacement. Really want McKenzie in the team for finals though.

Interesting SPP plays a good game and dropped. Marshall week before too. I think ken is trying to still work out his best team. Hes had 12 months, typical typical ken. SPP in for finals please. Marshall probably doesnt suit finals at this stage.

SPP has played one good quarter in about 8 weeks. Happy for him to have a week off and refresh before finals
