The absolute icing on the shit flavoured selection cake is that Dowling is travelling with the team (along with one of Burgess or Borlase) as an emergency, which means he can’t show that “consistent form” at the lower level that VB stated that he needed to in order to force his way into the worst midfield in the history of the sport.

If we lose by less than 60 it will be proof that Carlton aren’t a flag threat.

The good news is that selection nights and huge losses like this get us one step closer to sacking this incompetent coach. Let’s just hope Godden and VB **** off with him.

Nicks has a list of about 28 players, a best 22 plus a half-dozen others he rotates through.

If you're not part of that list, there's no chance you will ever get a look in.

That kind of reminds me of 2008 Geelong. They only played 31 players for the entire season, and two of them (Kane Tenace and David Johnson) only played one game. 17 players played 21+ games.

The end result was a lack of match fitness going into a super hot grand final, which they ended up losing.
