Honestly think we just play Tholstrup til the end of the season to see what he can do with a clear run of games.

After seeing what Toby Bedford is now doing at GWS (and to some extent Jordan at Sydney), I'd hate for Tholstrup/Windsor to end up as regular subs / last-in-first-out players and then see them request trades and light it up for rivals because we didn't give them a consistent run of games.

I'm not a huge Bailey Laurie fan but he has been sub/subbed off in 9 of his 12 career games. He's probably not quite good enough to make the senior team despite clearly having some skills, however I don't think anyone can argue the constant in/out sub/out hasn't hurt his development. And don't get me started on Kynan Brown....

I don't want Windsor/Tholstrupp going down the same path.

That's fair. I think Windsor will be a chance to leave if he keeps being played out of position.

As for Kynan, yeah he got shafted last season in a couple of games no doubt and you wonder what it does to a kid's psyche. But having seen him thi season a bit for Casey, i wonder whether he's just not quite good enough. Some kids do thrive at the top level though. He has that attitude where he could be the type. Just doesn't quite look good enough for Casey unfortunately. Positive signs from Yze though on the weekend. Would love another father/son to become huge for us like Viney.

I have no idea what attribute Tholstrup was supposed to have that made him worth a first round draft pick.
Speed, skill, composure, decision making, creativity, whatever it's supposed to be I can't see any of it and would happily trade him for a half-eaten packet of Harvest Snaps.

Yes, but which flavour?

Have to agree ... half decent mark for his size? Good second efforts?

Pretty baffling decision tbh

I'm no talent spotter but those highlights don't look too bad, fair to say he hasn't shown any of that at AFL level though, fingers crossed it's a confidence thing.

The problem I see with a lot of those highlights is it's a lot of clips of him doing pretty basic stuff with way more time and space than he'll ever be afforded in the AFL.

If Petty comes in for Jeffo or JVR I will vomit.

IF Spargo comes in ahead of Mentha.well, I dunno what I will do but it wont be be pretty.

With that Lever news it should make it a pretty simple Lever out and May in.

Carlton will have a small forward line with Curnow and a resting ruck the only talls unless they debut Lemmey. So I could see a situation where it’s Lever and McDonald out for May and Howes. A May, Turner and Howes backline would be a bit more mobile and potentially better suited for a Carlton team with no McKay, McGovern, Silvagni and even Lewis Young all due to injury.

Why did I even bother. What a wank. Lettuce leaf questions and let him say we're rebuilding on the run and targeted the draft despite our president saying we're aiming for finals.

Also this time last year we were planning on selling those draft picks to get Houston. It's complete spin and he gets away with it because the media are lazy and have a goldfish memory.
