Changes vs Carlton

No need for 2 ruckman as Carlton don't have any. My changes at the moment:
Out: Laycock or Hille (probably Laycock), Dyson (disapointing thought he would do more), Lucas if injured, otherwise Pev (Unlucky but Houli's performance and Gus' extra time in the midfield mean someone needs to go)
In: Hird, Houli, Bradley
Some of your best work right here.

Agree 100 per cent

after reading about what sheeds said in his press conference we can expect "wholesale changes". it sounds like lucas will start in defence which may mean paddy will play in the ruck.

in: hird, houli, kepler/neagle, mj
out: dyson, pev, laycock, slats

those are the changes that i think will happen, not want i want to happen. he mentioned jetta and dempsey but i can't see either of them getting a gig

oh probably somewhere out wide where he won't have an opponent and can find plenty of easy kicks

Reimers kick to Lloyd in the last quarter on his opposite foot is exactly why he should stay in the side this week, if not the remainder of the season.

Get Hocking in the side.

we gain nothing by dropping reimers. i'm not sure if we can find a spot for hocking. the only person i can see him replacing is pev and although i want it to happen i dont think it will

Just get bemused with some of the crap i read on here.

in some cases i know what you mean. but everyone is entitled to their opinion.

if everyone agreed on bigfooty it would be a pretty dull site

Hird and Hocking for Dyson and Laycock works for me.

I'd also be tempted to give Mal the rest of the season off and extend the Johns at FB experiment to AFL level.

Houli would be very stiff don't you think? Has worked his ass off on his deficiences and not only that he was able to win alot of footy. I want to see Hocking too but i'd give it another week.

Hird - Welcome back!
Houli - Performs week in week out deserves a call up out of all of them.
MJ - Played his guts out deserves to be back in the seniors.
Campo - Deserves a run against his old mob. If he plays sh*te then get rid of him completely.
Rama - If hes ready bring him back in.
Keps - Only if Sheeds plays him forward, don't bother if you are just going to play him down back again.

Out -
Dyson - Crap.
McPhee - Crap.
Pev - No room for him if Gus plays midfield and Houli is their too.
Laycock - Play Keps forward/ruck to replace Laycock.
Lucas - Playing injured give Gumby and Keps ago.
Welsh - Discipline problems.

To play two crap games like that in a row there needs to be major changes around here for anything to happen.

If we play Keps, MJ and Campo those three know there on there last chance and if they don't perform now they won't be deserving a spot on the list next year. So play them now and see what they have left.

Johns is crap we tried this in the Hawthorn game of him playing down back and he was even crappier down back them up forward. Get rid of him, I can't see him in our next premiership and neither can a whole lot of people.

We're not going to make 6 changes to the team, no matter how bad we were. IMO, Pev, McPhee, Welsh and probably Laycock will stay in the side from your list of outs.

Just like to say, I absolutely hate Essendon. With a passion almost as great as the one with which i love Carlton.

However, I am looking forward to watching Sheeds and Hird against us one more time. Two absolute champions not just of Essendon but of the AFL's history.

I'm not going to say goodluck, because I hope luck is on our side ;):)

I hate you :) But without that hate, this game would not be what it is :)

All the best to Sheedy and Hird. Will definately miss them :thumbsu:

Cant understand why people are putting up Lovett-Murray to be dropped.

He was one of a few who actually gave us abit of drive out of the backline, I thought it was his best game since coming back from injury.

i can't understand why MORE people aren't calling for nat rat's head. was woeful against hawthorn and was not serviceable against freo. his decision making has always been terrible and i believe opposition forwards would be licking their lips whenever he goes near them.

Just get bemused with some of the crap i read on here and can't b specifying as it takes up to much of my time.

So, why comment then? Reckless comment and a waste of a post if you ask me.

I heard Mark Harvey say on the radio tonight that Sheedy had tears in his eyes after the game against Fremantle, when the Dockers crowd unanimously cheered and applauded him.
