Re: good luck this weekend lads

We are just being logical. We are a 30+ point better team than you.

You lost to Collingwood (rofl) by what? 86 points? We beat them twice, last time by 30. That's a 116 point difference. I'd be worried.

Yeah mate your going to win this sunday and what does it prove? We end up 1 all for the year, we stay were we are and get top draft picks at the end and what do you guys get? You wont win the flag this year or next year and when your cheating mob are ready to challenge for the flag, we will be waiting.

Yet we beat you easily and Judd had 32 posessions and fevola kicked 7 and you still couldn''t beat us and we played without Lucas.

If football worked like what you have pointed out we could all make a living off it.

Re: good luck this weekend lads

And it begins. They start making statements which they may well regret come Sunday night. They're getting ahead of themselves.

I had the greatest thought today. Carlton finished 8th or 9th this year, then 4th or 5th next year then, just as they were pushing for number 17, they got caught cheating again, had premiership points stripped, and went to the bottom again. It almost made the conversation with the Collingwood fan bearable. We can dream, eh?:thumbsu:

Had a look at Bay 13 lately?

Re: good luck this weekend lads

How about.......we beat blues this week which then ultimately results in them missing out the finals?

What draft picks are these?

Will be good to get Houli back. I think Dyson will have a chance to get back in the side, althought i think he should come back through Bendigo and earn his spot.

I hope my source is wrong, but his pretty confident, that Houli is out for 4 weeks due to groin complications. He was saying it might be osteo. I didn't want to make a whole new thread on this, so you wont think im just an ordinary troll. I would be gutted if it were true, because i was really looking forward for him to play.

Can anyone confirm whether he was training today?

You're also the same poster that posted a thread saying Houli wouldn't play from a corkie when in fact he did play.

Watching the 2005 round 21 match on Bigpond TV, Its fun watching NLM v Fev, Fev spends his whole game niggling with NLM and doesn't do much. So many fights between them it's cool!
You guys reckon Mal Michael will get another go against him? I think Mal would know that he has to play well on him if he plays.

Mal to maybe come back in and play on Fev?? Flethcher hinted he was in good form for Bendigo and may be in the mix

Mal got dropped to Bendigo to teach Courtney Johns how to be a good defender like him..... (also his lack of form)

From watching last weeks game, it seems its not working.

Courtney should play in front of his opponent when the ball is delivered in the 50 cause he's too slow to catch up and punch the ball from behind.

And when he's in front, he can at least take a good mark if the ball drops short enough.

And it has come clear over the past 3 matches that Mal had played on Fev that he's just too slow.

Who did Johns play on?

I was thinking give Myers a rest in the 2's but he needs some big game experience and Essendon Vs Carlton are always massive games.

Bay 13's a little different to our board.

Let me guess:
5 x Carltank are out bitches threads
2 x Lloyd is back to being the best full-forward in the comp threads
6 x Essendon are shit threads
4 x Kruezer/Judd/Murphy/Fev/Jamieson/Wiggins will kick 10 threads

Re: Who takes the Shag, Judd and Stevens.

I wouldn't say Spuddy Ryder shut Fev down - he kicked 3 or something in the 3rd quarter and kicked one in the last - when the ball went in our 50 about 4 times.
Don't think ryder started on fev in in the 2nd half, pretty sure he was moved onto him after he kicked those 3 goals in the 3rd.

Ryder played on him in the last quarter and kept him to one goal after he had been dominating.

It isn't a shutdown if you can't kick it i50.

Ryder is too weak for Fev, if Fev so much as touches him the spud will go rolling down the hill. Ryder may have closing speed.. but do we know this is enough? Fev has amazing leading speed, and burns just about every defender.

Its a shutdown no matter how many times it does or doesn't come inside 50. It really doesn't matter what Fev kicks, last time he kicked 8 and we still beat you easily.

With Fletch zoning off Fisher to fill the hole in front of Fev, and Ryder's closing speed and height, I think we'll be fine.

It'd be the other end I'd worry about, if I were you.

Lloyd, Lucas, Neagle, McPhee

Re: Who takes the Shag, Judd and Stevens.

Yes, you beat us last time. We have also improved significantly and Essendon have been somewhat stagnating.

Setanta is in good form - beat Cloke thoroughly - he will go on Lloyd.
Waite or Thornton will go on Lucas - Lucas is always a worry.
Neagle - Jamison will have his measure
McPhee - Give me a break?
