Tipping Nase gets another gig for Hislop or Webbs..
Gus is in 100% if available, if not, we are ****ed..Browne needs a rest now.
Apart from that, King in as well for whoever survives the Nase in.
Gourdis plays again, wasnt all to bad for his first game.
Miller in the ruck is embarrassing us, in the way of showing the comp how ****ed our ruck stocks are. But it is what it is..
Bottom line dudes...be prepared for a collapse from here on in from our young list...in feel the worst now..JR is suffering. TY is picking up the slack but aint ready, King is a warrior, but its laughable to suggest he is anywhere near lightyears away from being the "class" required to mix it with the big boys, same goes with Nahas, same goes with Mcguane, same goes with White...

Basically it boils down to the cull of the TW disease is still in the process..;)

Based on the game today with WCE, Richmond should definitely go tall. I'd leave Miller in purely for structural purposes. No sense bringing Griffiths in if he isn't fit (or is concussed). Post needs to come in. Can play Ruck if Browne needs a chop out.

King in for Hislop.

Morton in for Webberley. We need a half forward option at the moment.

Out: Browne, McGuane, Conca
In: Graham, Post, Morton

Morton's overhead ability would give us the ability to play a forward line with 4 legitimate marking forwards. If Carlton's backline is as shot as the media is saying this could be very handy.

Goo was probably at least as bad as McGuane, but I'd like to see him given another week. I don't see how Post could be worse than either of them, and his form in the VFL means he deserves a recall.

Graham over Browne is due to my personal bias. I think Graham is a much better ruck, Browne has had his little spell, time to go back to the clear #1. We need a ruck that can kick....

Griffiths only played around a quarter or so and then was concussed from what I heard.

And people want him in this week? What ever happened to don't rush him?
Sure, let's bring in an injury prone tall for his first game of the year the week after he suffered a concussion, that's a really smart move.
I will be completely baffled and annoyed if the match commitee are silly enough to bring him in this week. Need to treat him the same way we treated the Cotchin/Foley injuries and not rush him at all. Let him get a couple of bests for Coburg first, or bring him in against the Suns.

This game is pretty much last roll of the dice to play finals this year. If we lose this one it will make it very hard to catch up. Still have to face the Cats which probably won't help percentage. Realistically, Carlton should have the better of us by about 5-6 goals. If we are any chance, it's because they are exposed down back and maybe Jack, Vick and Miller could cause problems. I'd keep Miller in for this week, give him another 1 or 2 weeks until Griffiths is ready and then its curtains on his career.

King is an automatic in, I've never seen a future for Hislop so he could come out, even though he wasn't our worst. I think Conca is getting tired, I wouldn't be against him having a few weeks rest at Coburg.

Don't be surprised to see King for Conca the only change. McGuane won't be dropped now if he wasn't dropped before all our KPDs got injured, his performances haven't improved or gotten worse. Tuck should definitely come in I think but would be surprised if he does.

Jammo is a huge out for us, we should play at least 3 talls up forward, could even bring Posty is as the sub to really stretch them late in the game.

I would make the following changes:

Out: Browne, Miller, Webberley, Hislop
In: Graham, Post, Tuck, King

With Conca being the sub for the next 2 weeks so that he come sin fresher to a slower game late in the third.

Im sorry to say it but Graham's our #1 Ruck - thats how bad its got in our ruck stocks. Browne will get decimated by Warnock and Kruezer - Graham is our only hope.

Run Post with Kruezer and try and push forward to stretch what to me looks a very slow heavy kruezer at the moment.

Tell tucky to go get ball and move it forwards.

We must tag heath scotland - do whatever it takes to take away his run from halfback - whatever it takes.

Its was hard to choose between Miller and McGuane - but mcGaune might be needed on someone like waite perhaps - last chance surely

From the Coburg report:

"Was dominant in the ruck with regards to hit-outs, but didn’t always give the team’s midfielders first use of the ball. Had no major impact in contests around the ground."

Not exactly a glowing endorsement of his game. He's basically saying his hit outs were to no one and he did nothing around the ground. Fair to bring a guy in after what sounds like a pretty ordinary game?

Agree with the swaps, except the Gus / Browne swap. Which ever one is going to be smacked by Warnock. Browne is more defensively minded, so i'd stay with him. Even Posty could keep up with Kruezer the way Kruezer is running at the moment. Tho Kruezer needs match fitness, and will be better for the run last week.

After watching the WC Blues game, 3 things stood out. WC tall forwards cause the Blues backline a lot of grief, the WC forward press caused alot of turnovers (as well as general playing tight to their man), and Selwood did a good job on Judd. So we have the talls, now Jacko needs to do a good job on Judd, and we need to put that fwd pressure on that we do when we get a bit of confidence.

In: Griffiths, Tuck, King
Out: McGuane (no upside whatsoever), Conca, Miller

Our defence is so bad that I have no problem rolling the dice on Gourdis for the remainder of the season to work out if he can play at the top level

For all the muppets wanting Mguane out. Whatever the case, they might want to come up with who is going to mind the resting ruckman in his place...go on give it your best shot dudes...;)

sheesh why dont people insist griffiths strings 5 or 6 games together at coburg the way they have insisted gourdis and post do.

its unbelievable the hype around this bloke. hes done absolutely nothing apart from take a good mark and kick a long goal in his 5 games.
he was ordinary in his draft yr due to injuries, he was ordinary last yr due to injuries and was gifted 5 games yes gifted especially if performing at coburg is the criteria to get a game. and this yr hes done nothing due to injuries and people are screaming for him to be played.
i can imagine the hype when he actually plays a good game for anyone, people will be pulling their puds till they turn blind. mind you going by some comments on this board id say thats already happened.

He's still a better option than miller

To all the posters saying Griff shouldn't be bought in for Miller cos he hasn't done anything yet. Griffiths is the future and that is what we are playing the rest of the year for, Miller is not part of the future, play Griff:thumbsu:

Exactly, either Griff or Post and only play Miller if they are both injured. No shortcuts.
