G'..., i just want to see someone take a contested mark in our forward fifty that isn't jack.
Welcome CK21G'day, long time reader, first time poster.
I was just wondering where everyone thinks post will play tomorrow?
Against most other teams i would say down back, but seeing as carlton lack key position forwards in their teams line up, could he be played up forward?
I'm really hope he gets to play forward, as this would stretch their back line and would be an opportunity for him to get his confidence sky high.
to be honest, i just want to see someone take a contested mark in our forward fifty that isn't jack.
Well their best player in the last 5 weeks is Brock.I honestly believe carltons depth is worse than ours.
Agree when Vickery went out Post appeared the best option available , to play the forward / ruck role. Fwiw I think we have been expecting to much from big Ivan all year .Post should play fwd ruck.
Specially with Maric not fully fit.
Maybe we are a little more civil over here. Let's not get too precious. That would be an instant red card if we done that on the Tankers board.
Mods should delete them.
2nd last one on this. So an extra week off means an impact injury will be less severe? When a 100kg ruckman falls across his knee it wouldn't injure him or would injure him, but not as bad...last 1 on this, the INCIDENTS arent his fault. the INJURY or serverty of INJURY resulting i believe he contributes to, by a) not giving himself enough time heal and b) how hard he goes in. out of 2 out 3 knee injuries were impact injuries.
I think you'll find Deledio in our top three clearance winners this season. Is Gibbs in the midfield? If he is then we should have Post down back, and also since Carazzo is going to be tagging Cotchin we won't get that many clearances unless Cotchin can become a superstar and break him or Conca, Tuck, Martin can make up for it. In the special case Deledio but I don't really see him having the effort to try and get the contested possessions, what I want to see from Deledio is for him to run and carry the ball in elite fashion or be up in forward line kicking goals. We need to rebound well and not turn the ball over in our defensive 50 or just outside the 50m arc, this is where Newman comes in and where trouble comes because he hasn't been very involved lately and I think Garlett will take the job on nullifying his ability to set up play like every other team has done so far, as a captain and a veteran he needs to stand up. Grigg needs to get involved as much as possible with his spread because when the opposition has a better player who can spread Grigg can't do much. I hope Ivan Maric can cope with his injury because last week he didn't play like himself and also the inclusion of Jake King might be a very risky one, but should give some order in the forward line.
If we get on top in the clearances and disposal efficiency we should win, we should also behave ourselves infront of the umpires so we don't give away free goals. Jack, McGuane and maybe Post if he plays in the forward line need to always lead and know each other's movements i.e. give each other space to move and present. If we play with the same level of effort as last week until the final siren we should win. Although I have a feeling of doubt.

I expect Carazzo to go to Cotchin, Gibbs to Lids and Armfield to Newman. Then they'll try and break even from there.
Maybe Edwards to go to Yarran, and Jackson to Scotland.
